Richmond Lock is a half tide lock, which means that at high tide it is navigable, while at low tide barrages are lowered into the river and boats must use a conventional lock. It is the nearest to the sea of the locks on the River Thames.
A footbridge runs across the river above it and was opened in 1894.
The S-64 Skycrane is a twin-engined heavy-lift helicopter designed by Sikorsky for the U.S. Army. It was first flown in May, 1962 and was an enlarged and upgraded version of Sikorsky's first flying crane, the S-60. The initial "A" version had a 20,000 lb. payload capacity that was increased to 25,000 lbs. with the later "B" version and could lift, haul and deliver cargo on a sling or in a cargo pod under its fuselage. It also had an aft-facing pilot station that gave an unobstructed view of the load being carried and allowed for positive control of the aircraft during precision operations.
This S-64 Skycrane is housed at the New England Air Museum located at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Zoos have evolved over the years to make the life of an animal less and less traumatic, although it is still a prison for entertainment. Unlike those parks where the work to preserve species and recover those at risk of extinction seems to me to be an extremely important social and environmental job. Seeing that there are still zoos where you see that it is simply a prison makes me sad and angry, seeing the aggressive attitude of many animals in these zoos already gives you an idea of the discomfort they feel there and in those conditions. I have mixed feelings, but I am clear that if they gave me the option to choose, I would release them all. I dedicate this series to all those animals that in one way or another live in a prison, or simply have their freedom stolen from them.
A substantial bike lock – and it's important to tie the key to it when not in use.
This photograph, which comes to you by courtesy of the letter L, is my twelfth picture for the February Alphabet Fun: 2023 group.
This gate is huge. The lock itself is about level with my head, so it's about 5.5ft tall. The gate's there mainly to keep cars from driving into the Manor. On both sides there are doorways that people can walk through.
And boy to I want to see how big that key is.

This is right up the street from my kolej, on prague's band building. I hear them practicing from time to time. I walk by this every day and have always wanted to take a photo, finally did it. It amazes me how much the bars around this place are rusted. The older they get, the more layers time tries to peel off.
Haven't really uploaded anything recently, been very busy with finals and papers, etc...But the end of Prague is around the corner for me, 3 more days- I know I'll miss this place but I'm extremely excited to get back home. Especially looking forward to seeing someone special.
As I said, I'm going to start a 365 upon getting home. Right now I have an intense sunburn so maybe I'll take a day or two to rest before starting :) I'm debating whether to put the 365 it on a new account and keep these separate, but I'll probably be lazy and keep it all together!
The door was locked so I couldn´t get in...

No matter how many times this bridge over the Seine river is rid off of these love locks, tourist and lovers alike just keeps making promises.

I know I've milked the clouds for all they're worth, but a couple more then back to our regularly scheduled photograph. This is the Lock & Dam. This is a lock, in fact barges were locking through when I took this in the other lock beside this one. The tow was heading South, probably loaded with grain for New Orleans.
View toward downtown Davenport. These are one of my most favorite cloud formations, within the next hour they are gone replaced with a more normal looking ceiling. Not HDR, but ultra wide angle magic.

Trent Lock is the area of canal locks around the point where the River Soar (flowing northwards) meets the River Trent (at this point flowing east). Near this point two canals also meet the Trent - the Erewash Canal, coming south-east from Long Eaton, and the short Cranfleet Cut provides a route for boats heading downstream on the Trent, avoiding a weir.
The Midland Main Line also runs past the area, over the Trent and the Cranfleet Cut.
Some way further to the west on the Trent is the Sawley Cut and Sawley Bridge Marina, and not far west of that is Derwent Mouth, where the River Derwent and the Trent and Mersey Canal join the Trent.Trent Lock (otherwise Trentlock) is located south of Long Eaton, on the borders of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire in the United Kingdom. The area is a major canal navigation junction, where the River Soar and Erewash Canal can reach the Trent and Mersey Canal by way of the River Trent and adjacent Cranfleet Cut.
Immediately to its north-east is Trent Junction, a similarly important five-way meeting point in the national railway system.
