Even this old door lock was still coated in dry mud that has been leftover from the Great Brisbane Flood of early 2011
Playing around with the Lens baby spark. I like the effect it gives but it is so hard to hit the focus.
Access to the Holiday Inn at Ellesmere Port requires traversing this swing bridge over the canal lock into the docks. A notable feature is the pointless arc of brickwork on the floor beyond the balance beam and running behind the lamp.

The 2Y60 1032 Morecambe to Leeds with 158868 in charge crosses the river Aire at Gargrave.
The image was taken on the opposite bank at a lock on the Leeds to Liverpool canal.

There was a “dig” at this site several years ago, on a canal workshop that used to be located here.

This photograph, which comes to you by courtesy of the letter L, is my twelfth picture for the February Alphabet Fun: 2023 group.
This gate is huge. The lock itself is about level with my head, so it's about 5.5ft tall. The gate's there mainly to keep cars from driving into the Manor. On both sides there are doorways that people can walk through.
And boy to I want to see how big that key is.
