The charming Austrian town of Melk is under the watch of the 11th-century Benedictine Melk Abbey, which, together with its 18th-century Baroque abbey church, sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the Danube.
A local guide gave us a run-down on the building, and led us through the monastery.

so the Google Local Guide contributions shows some statistics about how often your photos have been viewed. I thought the chart looked familiar so I took a screenshot (above), and then again a week later (below). I've tried to line them up so the dates roughly match. it's pretty clear the line going up is a total fake, just to make you think "oh look, I'm getting really popular".
