Small stone ruin at Reidsdale near Jembaicumbene Creek on the Araluen Road. Built of rubble stone of assorted shapes and sizes, it is nonetheless neatly fitted, apparently without mortar. Taken in 2018.

The 2020 Local Slam cast a wider local net than ever before. Instead of designating one co-host, the Denver Center invited five local theatre organizations to both introduce their individual new-play programs to the audience and present one local playwright of their choosing to read a short selection of their latest work-in-progress.
The featured organizations were Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company, Su Teatro, Miners Alley Playhouse (Golden), Theater 29 and Band of Toughs (Boulder).

A local variety called "Sombrilla" named by the local spanish landscapers.
The name means umbrella or some called it Sombrilla Blanco which means white umbrella.
I am guessing because of it's size which is 6" across.
The smell is awesome just like a gardenia..
The stone gateposts of the now demolished property of East View in Forde. An information board implies that the lines of stones in the gardens mark the outline of the homestead, in which case it was a very funny shape and had trees in it. Another source claims the rocks were garden edgings in the property, taken from the Crinigan's Hut site in Amaroo. Taken in 2017.
Local Lowe’s stores are heroes for the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and their Club located at Fernley Intermediate School (FIS). Three stores from Fernley, Sparks and Reno, NV came together to remodel the Boys & Girls Club located at FIS by providing more than 1,000 volunteer hours and $3,600 in paint, storage, carpet, and furniture. In just five days, Lowe’s volunteers turned the existing space into an amazing Club for all kids in the Fernley area to enjoy. The remodeled Club will serve between 75-200 kids daily.

Our local u3a in the Chalfonts chose to lay on a visit to the lovely property and grounds (1500 acres of it!) near Midhurst in West Sussex.
The sunlight was a bit harsh and made it difficult to get pictures that capture this beautiful garden in the best of light.
But I hope they do give the viewer a chance to see just how splendidly spectacular this magnificent garden is.
It’s broken up in sections of the garden into ‘rooms’ but there’s also plenty of what looks like natural landscaping elsewhere. We also got to see the amazing tropical greenhouse structure. Unfortunately not closed up on this day because it was far too hot.
Local artists created one-of-a-kind birdhouses for the "Birdhouses of Del Ray" silent auction fundraiser. Birdhouses are on display and ready for bids at Del Ray Artisans gallery from October 7-25, 2016. Proceeds benefit Del Ray Artisans, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which fosters community-based arts activities.
Enjoying the work of local artisans who worked with Batik, Hand- loom, and Biralu Lace to create beautiful representation of our native culture.
