On April 27 2013 from 10 AM to noon Trees Across Toronto held its annual tree and shrub planting program at Milliken Park in Scarborough at the North East corner of McCowan and Steeles. The City of Toronto corporate participants and local community groups such as Toronto Chinese for Ecological Living (TCEL) were planting over 1600 native trees and shrubs at Milliken Park. Went to the ARMORY SHOW this weekend and was blown away. Reminded me of Comic Con but with a higher price tag. Amazing experience.

This amazing rosebush blooms profusely every May and sporadically throughout the summer just across the street from my apt. Finally decided to capture it in its full glory. This is a digital backup shot to my testing of an Olympus Infinity film camera c. 1991 & an old 127 plastic toy cam called a Penny King half frame camera - film results to follow.
Getting fresh local organic produce through CSA programs is the best way to return the favour back to the local farmers who toil day and night to provide us the best food. Yellowbird food Shed’s infographic explains the costs involved and the procedure to participate in the Columbus, Ohio CSA program.
Local villagers welcome us as Peer Water Exchange/Blue Planet Network visit a village in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

VA’s 13th annual VA2K Walk & Roll event was a great success! Thanks to all that participated, coordinated, set up, worked and cleaned up at this year’s VA2K! Special thanks to all that donated items such as clothing, toiletries, packaged food, or bottled water. These donations were collected and will be distributed to local homeless Veterans.
