In Warren Park, a large city park within walking distance. Looks good View On Black. Well, as good as a mostly black butterfly can look anyway.
It's unusual to see a horse of this colour pulling an Amish cart. Usually the Amish favour non-flashy, solid colour horses like bays, browns, and blacks - and this guy was a little smaller than the usual Amish buggy horses. I couldn't resist taking his photo!
That's the Shipshewana Livestock Auction Barn in the background (yes, live auction - as in horses, ponies, cows, goats, tack, household goods - you name it!

Healey & Whitworth saw the election of Community First candidate Dayne Powell. Helmshore was won by Conservative Ann Hodgkiss. Irwell saw Labour’s Andrew MacNae elected. He has been a leading member of the borough’s Labour group and cabinet. Independent candidate Janet Eaton was unsuccessful.
Longholme ward saw success for Labour’s Matthew Joseph Norton. The Stacksteads seat was won by Labour candidate Danielle Ashworth. Whitewell saw the Green Party’s Julie Adshead re-elected.
In Worsley, Labour’s Adrian Lythgoe was elected. He is another leading Labour councillor.

Cairo –April 3rd, 2009 – Cairo Marriott Hotel celebrated the “World Orphan’s Day” with the children of the local “SOS” orphans’ village. On the Occasion, the hotel donated 15 boxes of essential food supplies for the children’s houses in addition to a lot of other in-kind donations. These donations were presented to the children by the hotel’s volunteers who were very proud to have such a chance to draw a smile on the children’s faces.
This initiative came as a part of Cairo Marriott’s active community service program which focuses on aiding impoverished & sick children in every possible way.

فندق ماريوت القاهرة يحتفل بيوم اليتيم مع أطفال قرية S.O.S
القاهرة– 3 من إبريل 2008 تماشيا مع سياسة ماريوت العالمية، قام فندق ماريوت القاهرة بالإحتفال بيوم اليتيم مع أطفال قرية S.O.S بالقاهرة.
وقد قام فندق ماريوت القاهره بالتبرع بصناديق تحتوى على إمدادات غذائيه للأطفال بالقريه، وقد قام متطوعى الفندق بقضاء هذا اليوم مع الأطفال وكانوا فخورين بقيامهم بمثل هذا العمل لخدمة المجتمع و سعداء بأنهم قد حظوا بمثل هذة الفرصة لرفع روح الأطفال المعنوية فى هذا اليوم.وقد ضم الحفل أكثر من مائة و خمسين طفل يتيم مع أمهاتهم البديلة .

even since I opted for the cycle to commute to work. my train travel has become very very rare. ( which im half glad half sad about :P) so consequently so has my habit of taking photographs.
but on my way to churchgate ( as we left for alibaug) I managed to get this one shot using my cellphone.
its something ive been hoping to shoot for a long time.
