Farewell to Local Link who ceased operating stage services on 31st March 2017.
On a quiet Sunday afternoon the LRJ90 - Suisun Local waits for a CFNR crew to take the train west to Lombard Junction and return with for cars for Roseville. UP 4190 appears to be a recently repainted unit.
This job works Monday through Saturday.

Fano has a strong fishing tradition. Our fishermen provide some of the finest bluefish the Adriatic Sea has to offer. Among that loot, often the best part is also the cheapest. The particular kind of herring you can see in the picture is extremely common in the fish markets of Fano and it isvalued no more than 5€ per kilo, but is highly tasty (especially if grilled with bread crumb, garlic, parsley, olive oil, salt and pepper) and shows excellent nutritional values. No surprise that the bluefish in general and the herring in particular has became a real symbol of Fano's sea tradition and of the harbor area, one the most old areas of the city.

Pat Murphy was a longtime mechanic and owner of a service station along U.S. 45 in Arcola, Illinois. Until the coming of the interstate highway system, U.S. Route 45 was at 440 miles the longest highway in Illinois. Murphy once was a ride along mechanic in the Indianapolis 500 and once repaired the engine of the plane of Charles Lindbergh after engine troubles forced him to make an emergency landing near Lovington, Illinois.
Murphy was featured as a "town celebrity" in a 1977 segment of the famed Charles Kuralt series "On the Road. This mural paying tribute to Murphy is along Route 45 and was created by Chris Lovelady and Aaron Taylor.
Took this a couple of years ago at a local carnival. They asked me to take a photo of them and they struck this pose. Awesome! Taken in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Looking towards the Wasatch Mountains from the Bonneville Shoreline Trail after the first snow of the season. Car Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 on a Lumix GH5.
While chasing this local on my bike, I made my way to the overpass where the Luce Line trail goes over Xenium Lane in Plymouth. Here the train intersects the Xenium Lane crossing to drop off three coil cars at Olympic Steel. Their last costumer of the day.
This more-or-less local (I believe it's the 103 train) is about to roll under the Division Street overpass in Lockport IL. By now this warbonnet has gone from leading shooters like the 199 to the lowly, but still important 103. Fall 1996.
