In preparation for the Schkeuditz event this August, I planned a small lay-out consisting of a loading platform. It's now 4 baseplates long, so I am carefully confident that I'll finish it in time. I'm planning on doing most of the detailing irl, that's why the walls are quite plain now

Loading the largest log boat to enter the Port of Nelson, the "Ultra Tradition" This is looking into one of five holds, and then the logs are stacked a further 6m high on the deck after the hatches are closed.
An Oldendorff freighter was loading stone at the Mulgrave Quarry in Port Hastings. Stone from the is quarry was used to build the nearby Canso Causway.

i love a good punch...i used to teach a punch class many moons ago. We finally had a snow day here..it's been about 6 yrs. The kids loved it....about 1/4in of snow and you would have thought it was several feet. Played and played till it melted.
Couldn't think of an instance involving trains at the ScrapHappy Reunion so ... had to deviate from my plan to only scrap those photos this LOAD. 😊 these photos were from later that same summer at the miniature railway in Osoyoos, BC.

Sunday evening after the last circus show Union Pacific repositions the rail way flat cars on the BMI branch line then in groups between 4-10 they load up the circus wagons. Once the wagons are loaded, the flats will move down the mainline picking up the animals cars on another siding and last pick up the circus personnel living quarters within six hours the train after air testing will be ready to depart on to their next show site.
Loads of us were taken out for a Chinese meal one lunchtime. An excellent restaurant and wonderful food. Opposite the restaurant was a London bus. Not something I expected to see.
It was converted into a burger restaurant and apparently it is very good. We sadly didn't visit, but a bus with two/three people in wheelchairs wasn't a possibility!
