My happy place is my back porch, I love to sit here in the evenings, ipad, reading, glass of wine. AHHHH.. I'm Sad LOAD is coming to a close, I rocked 32 LO's this month.. a record for me!
The Bugis Schooners were often loaded with bags of concrete or Rice. The work is back breaking, but this worker was happy to see us and gave us a big smile. The guys loading the concrete bags would carry two 50kg bags on their shoulders as they walked up the gangplank to load the boats.

When i googled my name in ebay i came up up with Marya Hornbacher's novel so I drew on the colours from the novel cover

Not that a Mark 14 torpedo would have ever been used in these particular tubes. These are the two starboard torpedo tubes from the U.S.S Tecumseh, SSBN 628. Tecumseh was a missile carrying submarine, part of the '41 For Freedom.' The Mk 14 torpedo was a WWII torpedo, when, after they worked out the glitches in the exploder assembly, because a highly successful design and sent hundreds of thousands of tons of enemy shipping to the bottom during the war.
Day 15, frames.....I opted for some journaling tag frames....fits a prompt from another project I am doing "betcha didn't know" things about me........

Soldiers from the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment load two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters onto a C-5 Galaxy March 27, 2014, at Richmond International Airport for transport to Guatemala for Operation Beyond the Horizon. Approximately 110 Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers will support the joint foreign military interaction and humanitarian exercise sponsored by U.S. Southern Command. From the beginning of April to the end of June, personnel are scheduled to rotate in and out of country in two-week cycles. While there, the aviators will act as the sole rotary wing aviation asset, providing casualty evacuation support and gaining familiarity with unique terrain that includes active volcanoes and high altitudes. This was a bit of effort. It's a template from a class I took at Big Picture last year with Amy Sorensen. I couldn't figure out how to make the mitered journal frame (no, it's not digi), but I sat down today and figured it out. Finally!
I love this page. I was going to embellish, but I couldn't find anything that truly added to it to my satisfaction.
During the whole day, they were this loading lifts stacking those heavy freight crates. Their drivers worked really fast and accurately.
Day Thirteen
I wasn't happy with any of the results from the Ebay search...so I went a little different route and just scrapped a few pictures I'd been holding onto for awhile.
Little random...but as you know by now, so am I.
The photo on the left is elevated with pop dots and lines up with the second picture.
Journaling reads:
"One of my FAVORITE things about the car show was riding in the new jeep on a really interesting obstacle course : over logs, on an angle, up a SUPER steep hill & then down the hill with NO BRAKES! It was totally AWESOME! It makes me want a jeep maybe more now than EVER! Such a fun adventure. 2011 :)"

Hey Bill! It's been a while since i put some pictures up for you guys at riverbills. So I thought these my be some good ones to post. I went down to grafton tuesday night to check on the flooding also to check on our boat and my SeaDoo to make sure they were still on there lifts.The First Picture is of the loading dock. Lookng at the band stand.
The second one Is Grafton Harbors parking lot its all under. if you cannot tell!
The thrird is the PWC Docks at grafton harbor my seadoo was still there. But if you look check out the position of the gate its at a 60 degree angle.
i think its going to take a little while for us to be able to go back out there and have a good time.
