Totally off-prompt, but it's still a layout! This is my daughter, taken after she had her self-designed tattoo done. The background paper seemed to suit it perfectly, especially as she loves images of Buddhas, and meant I needed to do very little other than add the photo!

Just another Saturday on the Great Northern , a SMALL part of what goes by on the day.

An interesting heavy haulage (and craneage) job going on at the Los Christianos harbour wall. Six and eight wheel tractor units and low loaders hauling concrete blocks for a massive crawler crane to lift and lower into the sea, I can't get close to the crane there but I can at the loading point. We are walking seven mile to get there, the sun is shining so Jayne isn't bothered, other people go to Loro tropical park, she says we go to the lorry park( only for half an hour, and it is on our normal walking route)

My boss took me on a run to Jellinbah mine to pick up a C508 and take to Emerald here the Two KW C508's Truck 40 pushing truck 39 onto our truck, truck 39 was f*cked, blown turbo, constantly over haeting, engine shot for sh*t and rear axel locking up.

The colors on this just fell together so nicely. I love this combination of red, yellow and blue. :)

Incase you can't read the writing.... "it's a perfect day for a february stroll..... Temp. was in the 50's. Odd for Omaha in winter." Yes indeed.

Another interesting prompt today. While I thought about it all day I wasn't planning on using these photos or doing this layout but when I sat down this is what spoke to me.

Day 6

Inspiration : Red Herring

[The background story]

When I watched the video and got the prompt for today, I was completely stumped. I thought about it all day long and decided to use the red from the prompt as a main color on my page. I'm not a huge fan of red so it was a little challenging for me, but since there's so much green in my photos, I actually think it works.

Also, it's VERY unlike me to have crooked journaling, but it's straight on the lines of the patterned paper and I purposely put it on an angle to match the photos, so I'll have to live with it.

Journaling reads:

"I'm a crafty person so when I was in LOWES & passed by all the pretty flowers & plants, I couldn't help but think, "well that could be fun". With some guidance from the parental unit, I loaded a cart full of colorful goodness & added 2 new chairs to the mix. I've got a couple strawberry plants in cinder blocks, some green & red peppers, jalepenos & seranos for Jon & a little cilantro...plus a bunch of colorful plants. An afternoon of soil & sun & I'm on my way! 6 May 2013"

Pool of Life Dragonboat Taster Day - October 2016: Loading the Boat

Quote is by Mother Theresa. Journaling is under the photo and reads

I love this quote! Having so many children and seeing them as blessings from God is not a popular mind set these days. So many people ask me why? Why so many children? And I usually just smile because the only reason they are asking is they have not experienced the blessing that comes with a big family. I get more hugs and kisses, constant company and the joy of raising children to love God and serve Him! No, it’s not always easy and there are days that overwhelm me but it keeps me real close to my God and it is only through His strength that I can do these things! It is sad that our culture does not treasure children as the bible tells us too.........so many people are missing out! We all love our big family and can’t wait to welome baby number eight........who will arrive mid March!!!

We have a perfect ordinary life but have been known to add some excitement from time to time. We both sing and play guitars and this is from a crazy perfformance at our Christian School. Because of our crazy outfits I thought I'd make the entire LO crazy! I think I succeeded in that aspect!

Handling Specialty has experience with loading dock equipment. Here is a 20,000 lb. capacity custom hydraulic scissor lift table for transferring Rolls of Paper.

Handling Specialty's design of custom high-capacity lifts is suited ideally to the newspaper industry where tons of rolls of paper are handled daily. For the Houston Chronicle, a 20,000 lb. capacity lift was designed for the unloading of 5,000 lb. paper rolls. Delivered by transport to loading docks, the transport stops in front of the lift which raises to the height of the dock and back of the transport. Once emptied, the lift lowers and the present transport leaves, making way for the next shipment.

This abandoned 1950 Ford stake truck looks as if its ready to roll with a load from this abandoned building in Sunbury,Iowa.

4 Quay, Kings Dock, Swansea

I actually had to climb up onto a small offload building for train cars to get this shot. I was probably twenty feet off the ground, leaning over a rusted railing. Good times...

This was shot for a project dealing with urban exploration/urban decay.
