Just another of many great takes on this scene as Alco S6 151 and our little train rolls east down Brown St. past the open trunk of a sedan and a cart full of groceries.
As cool as the scene is on the lower end of Brown Street past Kuppy's Diner, the bank and the post office I feel I was more enchanted with the upper end closer to interchange. I think it was because of the two small blocks of alley running and then skirting the parking lot of Karn's Grocery. While arguably less photogenic it was much more "alive" with customers coming in and out of the lot and store and startled traffic dodging the train all while customers went about their morning chore of loading groceries into their vehicles. The scene was just so much more dynamic and lively to me, changing by the moment. And the genuine curiosity and interest (or in some cases disinterest or disdain) of the general public as to what was happening and what we were doing was fun to just observe.

The third sunset of the New Year, the second of which saw both sunshine and a Standard Tank being the main attraction in the Scottish central belt. No. 80105 puts in a resounding performance as she lifts load 6 and a Class 26 on the final stretch to Manuel station.
Around 8 o'clock on the sunny morning of Saturday, August 31, 2024, a loaded coal train heads east on the Marysville Subdivision through Edgar, NE.
Ok so I couldn't resist putting just a little teeny tiny bit of bling...but other then that i believe I followed the directions!!!
The Home Front - out and about in Plymouth, Micro 4/3 camera. I'm interested in how much of a filmic quality you can get with these little cameras, 10 or more years old and still going strong.
Red River Coal Company loadout operator Dwayne Carroll carefully monitors the loading process as a 60-car unit coal train of higher sulphur coal destined for the Eastman Chemical in Kingsport, Tennessee, is filled with black diamonds at Red River Coal's prep plant and loadout at Steer Branch/Dixiana, Virginia, on May 12, 2014. Having dumped their loads for the Jones & Laughlin steel furnaces, hoppers are now being returned by the Cuyahoga Valley to interchange connections. Soon they will be back at the mines.

66777 'Annette' shunts it's wagons at Arcow quarry. With limited space available in the quarry the train moves back and forth a number of times to allow loading of all the wagons.
The train arrives as the 6M31 09:29 Doncaster to Arcow and would depart later in the afternoon as the loaded 6E77 16:57 to Hunslet Tilcon,

A westbound coal load was curving through Otis behind a nice clean SD70ACe which was numbered one above the absolutely moronic "Bar Code". The fact that stupids actually care about the 1111 says volumes about the state of foamers.
Some remaining autumn foliage was clinging to the trees on the former Conrail Chicago Line on a sunny afternoon in Hoosier Land.
