Just a few miles out of Minntac, these tac loads are bound for Proctor Yard before heading down to the dock in Duluth for unloading.
IC 6263
Slogging away from a large spring thunderstorm we find CN taconite loads from the Fairlane plant in Forbes, Minnesota bound for Proctor and the Duluth docks on the way south behind three different SD40's -2 or -3 which ever you prefer. I kept missing the lightning bolts, but just as well I was glad I stayed with this guy and had sun all the way south and did not stay north and get soaked for 4 hours of rain . . .

A load of hay rolls in Greely (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada.
One roll of hay, otherwise known as a round bale of hay, typically has the same amount of hay as about twenty square bales of hay.
6AM loads out of Babbitt head east by Tiomi with a trio of SD40-3's, as a work train holds in the siding.

A light rain falls as CP 8822 South heads south on the Fording River Sub with a loaded unit coal train bound for export. The train has loaded from the Fording Mine, and is passing the connecting track to the Greenhills mine, both of which make up 2 of the 4 mines on the 32.6 mile Subdivision in Southern British Columbia
Although it's mostly plastic, DJI's Mavic Pro drone does a great job at flying through a rainstorm, as was needed to be done in order to get the bird back to my location!
A fresh Southern Heritage Unit leads ethanol loads east under the C&NW coaling tower. A nice sucker hole of light helped with the scene.

The tram is loading up a school party...they love to come to Beamish for a history lesson.
That tram is seen in front of the Barclays bank...the bus is standing outside the Co-op.

MC 2009 is seen leading MC 2010 and MC 2008 along with 9 loads of C&D from Otis down the Middleboro secondary approaching Cotley Junction. With no space in Middleboro to leave the loads from Otis the crew would take them north to Taunton and leave them with the outbound Fall River/New Bedford cars on Cotley Siding and then drop the 2010 and 2008 in Taunton.
Lock and load.

An abandonned gravel loading facility at Bass Point on the NSW Illawarra Coast. A 65x24 crop to simulate the XPan format introduced by Hasselblad.
The reach stacker trucks at Hams Hall busy themselves with the work in hand as 09004 carrying its pre-TOPS number of D3668 draws a rake of empty flats forward for loading.
Adding a bit of variety on Steelton Hill are these coke loads that operate from St. Paul to Thunder Bay via UP and CN.
Loading a truck with a fodder by a big Takraf crane in Marten, Ruse district, Bulgaria. On the right of the loading platform are abandoned locomotives LDH 70-681, British class 86 233 and EA3008 owned by Bulmarket DM.
On September 17, 2018, the CN Osage Sub was officially shorten to MP 83.6, couple miles west of London. The trackage to Glenville has been out of service for awhile now, and looks like its going to be permanent thing? Back in 2008 the Cedar River Local still came out to Glenville for ethanol transloader Poet Biorefining that trucked ethanol downtown for loading. Here the crew is crossing the Shell Rock River on the eastside of town with a WC 6005 and a few cars for Glenville. Back in the early IC days, Glenville was a connection for the IC to get on the Rock Island to access Albert Lea. Those days ended around 1985-86. The WC 6005 was retired off the CN roster and this was some of the last trips the unit would work. On 1-09-09, the 6005 would depart Waterloo bound for the Woodcrest deadlines, 11 days after this photo.
MMID UBST blasts off out of Woodsboro with stone loads for Finksburg. The UBST's stone is fairly uncommon occurrence where online traffic runs from original origin to final destination all on one shortline.
A loaded train of petroleum coke from Rosemount near St. Paul grinds up Steelton Hill under a layer of lake effect fog. UP 1983 (WP heritage) had led this train from St. Paul but was pulled off at Pokegama for the remainder of the trip to Thunder Bay.
