Moriah giving Link a super-sized hug. She loved the dogs, but I think Moriah would have hugged a rat to get another photo taken! She loves to be photographed and then see the digital image immediately.

Using two extension tubes the depth of field was so thin I had to resort to a 25 image stack .

A decorated side wall along Link Road, East Cowes. 26th October 2022.

From Shalford to Chilworth: This part is largely footpath and wasn't part of the old railway.

This shot was taken standing on the walk bridge over the South Link in Cork.

Looking back across the estuary towards Roachestown, I just managed to catch the last light of the sunset and it was dark enough to get some light trails from the cars below

The conductor on Montana Rail Link's Helena Local attaches the EOT onto the rear of the train, as an empty BNSF coal train flies by on the main line. In the MOW pocket track is a Herzog MPM train which was working to pick up the remains of the searchlight signals, which had recently been replaced.

Today, something from Iceland: The Arch at Gatklettur, here portrayed at sunrise during one of the Workshops I led in Iceland last December is one of the lesser known - but not less amazing - beautiful landscapes of Iceland. With the Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters.

ich bin zu klein für die Menschenmassen, habe viel gehört, aber dieses Jahr wenig gesehen und immer, wenn ich dachte, da ist eine Lücke, schwenke vor mir ein Arm hoch mit dem Handy - Sicht versperrt.

A macro shot of a rusty chain link on an orange rope. Taken in one of the abandoned boats at Dungeness, Kent, England.

Tonight I present a stream of consciousness exercise in linking three unrelated photos. Just for fun. To begin with, let's assume this bunny knows there is a cat in the neighborhood, which is why the bunny is running away.

Enter the cat. Perhaps thinking of bunny stew, and licking its chops at the thought. Unless the cat, seeing me there with my camera, is thinking about photographer stew.

The bird fits in because it is a CATbird, a natural segue. (If you're not sure how to pronounce "segue," here's a link:

dictionary.reference.com/browse/segue

The Catbird gets its name because it sounds like a cat mewing, but actually this bird makes a lot of other delightful sounds. Have a listen here:

www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Gray_Catbird/sounds

The other interesting characteristic of the Gray Catbird is the patch of rusty red feathers under its tail (the undertail coverts, as they say in the birding world). And perhaps this can link us back to the beginning, because we get to see the rear ends of both the rabbit and the bird. And that's the end of this tale, as well. Hope you've enjoyed it, and the photos too.
