This biplane Jack Link's Screamin' Sasquatch (a 1929 Taperwing Waco) got its name for the simple reason that it has a turbojet attached under its own regular engine.

Brown-flanked Tanager (Thlypopsis sordida) is endemic to Central Peru (around Huanuco) and Guira Tanager (Hemithraupis guira) was photographed in Jardin (Colombia)

Montana Rail Link's Local 840-28 (Helena Local) slows, as the crew prepares to make a meet at Louisville.
If memory serves correct, the first west bound had engine issues and as a result the local got held in the siding until after dark.

Ausblick zur Bergwelt des Oberengadins. Von links der Piz Morteratsch (3751 m.ü.M.), und der Piz Prievlus (3608 m.ü.M.). Nach der Lücke (Fuorcla Prievlusa), der (im Bild diagonale) Biancograt, welcher zu den in einer Wolke versteckten Piz Bernina (4047 m.ü.M.), dem einzige Viertausender, führt. Danach der Piz Scerscen (3953 m.ü.M.). Rechts die komplett weisse Schneekuppe (3917 m.ü.M.) und gleich dahinter der Piz Roseg (3936 m.ü.M.).

The look through the camera is like a door to another world.
ANDEAN COCK-OF-THE-ROCK Male Rupicola peruvianus. This male Andean Cock-of-the-rock is looking back on the lower east slopes of the Andes in northern Ecuador at 3:31 PM on October 3, 2019.
This male was not at a lek.
Males on the east slope have orange plumage rather than the red of the males on the west slope [see www.flickr.com/photos/neotropical_birds_mayan_ruins/23216...].
The Andean Cock-of-the-rock is a member of the family Cotingidae and lives in the Andes of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú and Bolivia.

15 years ago, the North Pole Express ran up the former New York Central Saginaw branch from Owosso to Chesaning. The train was much smaller in those days, and most of the trip was between 10 and 20 mph. The Saginaw County fairgrounds in Chesaning hosted the North Pole. A few years later, the decision was made to move the North Pole over to Ashley and run up the ex Ann Arbor mainline instead, somewhat due to deteriorating track conditions on the branch north of Oakley. SRI volunteers actually invested a lot of time and money into track work between Oakley and Chesaning in order to continue running 1225 up there, but eventually it became more than they could feasibly do. While the ex AA line is nice, the old NYC was more straight north/south and offered some interesting photos, like the classic Michigan Bean Co elevator in Henderson.

Neu trifft Alt - Pesa Link trifft Formsignal. Dieser Kontrast lässt sich in Vöhringen (noch) beobachten. Am vermutlich ersten Einsatztag im Fahrgastbetrieb auf der Illertalbahn, dem 6. Juli 2020, entstand dieses Bild, das 633 039 und 633 031 als RB 57651 bei der Einfahrt in Vöhringen zeigt. Wie heute fast schon üblich, verzögerte sich der Einsatzbeginn der neuen Fahrzeuge um viele Monate. Ursprünglich sollten die polnischen Triebzüge bereits im Dezember 2017 an den Start gegen. Das macht eine Verspätung von nur 2,5 Jahren.
