Another WIP. This set is a soft blue linen tunic with a mustard print skirt. It's made to fit the Takara Blythe body, but I tested to make sure it fits Pullip, Kikipop, and Momoko too.

i have a new love, linen embroidery floss. the colors are wonderful, and i love how it works; easily and quickly. just beautiful.
When I saw the tutorial (by Vanessa Hewell via her blog) for this pencil pouch I thought that it would be perfect to use a few of my precious Heather Ross scraps. The scraps are from a couple of different Munki Munki prints and a couple of different prints from her OOP fabric lines. The solid fabric is Essex Cotton Linen Blend in Natural. The lining is a fabric I found in my stash -- I love how the inside has this secret pretty print. I used one of the decorative stitches on my machine (a loopy vine) to add the stitching detail to the front in light pink thread. That was fun since I hardly ever have the occasion to use those fancy stitches!
This pouch was very easy to make (it took about an hour) and the tutorial was easy to follow. I will definitely make more of these -- they are perfect to give as gifts and so easy to customize for the recipient.
This is a detail of the appliques on a translucent linen tablecloth that I bought at Goodwill. It was a very good day for linens.
I think I might have found a cache of stuff from someone's estate.
We had no idea where exactly this Green was, though we believed it was near Belfast.
