Studio 26 assignment - textures and layers
My 'tangerine smoothie' from the Colour Swatch assignment, layered with a white linen image.
Free to use, if you use this texture, it would be nice if you would credit me with a link back to this texture...
I would love to see your work, I would appreciate it if you would leave a link or an image of your work here as a comment.
Being washed several times, and now very wrinkly. I've found the piece of vintage cotton that matches with this purple linen perfectly for the york.
66.365 Finally got this quilt from back in July quilted! I decided feather's was the way to go. More photos and info on the blog.
Pattern from Zakka Style Book
Made from scraps from my lovely online friends, Ayumi (aka Ayumills) and Elnora (aka Elnorac)
Added some hand-embroidery.
Made this quilt using recycled linen clothes. All handsewn and made using the fringing method. Nearly every square has a different handquilted design on it.
I made some fun potholders with my scraps. I got carried away and made extra's which I am going to list in my shop.
Envelope-style back with pieced strip and mismatched buttons. Linen-cotton blend pillow, new and vintage fabrics quilted on front with raw edges. 18 inches square.

Finally finally, I had some stitching time today!
I made this square mixed linen tea bag container, which can stand on it's own, but can also hang. Has a wee pocket on the front to pop tea bags in. I am just so happy to be working with fabrics again!!
Linen-cotton blend pillow, new and vintage fabrics quilted on with raw edges. 18 inches square.

The full ensemble. Jacket from an Alexon suit, trousers from Long Tall Sally, shoes from Gabor, top and beads from Country Casuals. A shame linen creases so much.
For this Christmas I have been making all different sizes linen gift bags. I made the "draw strings" myself out of gingham cottons to add some happy colour. These are medium sized to hold "sweetness" :)
These baggy linen pants are HOME for me.
I've had them for 4 years and they get better each time I reach for them. They are soft and perfectly worn in. No buttons or zippers, I can just slip them on and go. I always feel like "me" when I wear them. They are definitely home.
Home is also this chipped coffee mug I can't seem to throw out. It's been with me too long 😊
