My Uni staircase project: this is in the fire escape of the Physics building. I took quite a few from this location - all slightly different perspectives. This was the best composition, but was also the ONLY one out of focus (the camera has focussed on the rail). So I will call it artistic licence that that really i've meant to focus on the red railing up close and make it the subject ... (note to self - always make sure you've had coffee BEFORE I take photos ...).
This picture had been taken 70 minutes before previous picture, Green season.
You can see some differences between those pictures, which was brought by different angle of sun light.
Lower solar elevation has made this one more contrasty, and reflection of the train on the field is more clear, but another one is more magnificent with the long freight train.
Originally, I had not loved this kind of JR WEST ‘monotone painted’ train, because of the reason of cost reduction for old timers, which I felt a symbol of long years recession in Japan.
So, I was surprised very much when I took this picture, which showed me perfect matching of the color in that scenery.
I learnt that everything might have the character, which might be brilliant in a certain situation.
Edgware (via Charing Cross) bound 1959 stock Northern Line service has just left Brent Cross station on the climb to Hendon Central on a snowy Saturday in February 1991.
Taken from the footbridge connecting Hendon Park (to the left) with Renters Avenue (to the right). It's a colour photo, but could easily be B&W!
The daily 3:00pm departure of the "Duluth Zephyr" approaches the Fitger's Brewery with SOO 700 providing the pulling power.

ADL Enviro400MMC Line-Up
A sight that does not get seen very often and certainly not with unbranded Enviro400's lined up in Union St, with 33258 YX68UPK and 34390 SK19ENE in the middle.
The Emirates Air-Line building @ the Royal Victoria Docks. For some reason two things sprang to mind when I was shooting this: one of those old carousel projectors for 35mm slides; and a giant vacuum cleaner filter. Either way, I liked it.
Queen's Park Bakerloo Line station on 5th February 1985, during the short three-year transitional period when both 1938 and 1959 stock were being used. Between 1979 and 1983 the Bakerloo line was operated entirely by 1938 stock, after which they began to be replaced by 1959 stock, transferred from the Central Line. However, this was a temporary measure until the cascaded 1972 stock became available. The last 1938 stock was taken out of regular service on 20th November 1985, and from 1986 the 1959 stock was transferred to the Northern line. Constructed from an aluminium alloy, the 1959 stock presented a clean silver exterior when new, however this very soon took on a workworn and overall tatty appearance, a stark contrast to the charm of the older much loved 1938 stock, with its celebrated 1930s ambience.

In late February 2019 I visited the Epping Ongar Railway's Green Line Running Day focussed on North Weald Station. A photographer's trip to Toot Hill was enjoyed by many and proved extremely popular. I also took a few shots at Epping Station.
D.C. Metro "Orange line" whizzes past as I waited to board the Metro while in D.C.
I really like the pattern in the ceiling. The timeless with the modern hustle and bustle.

I've been living in big cities ever since I was a little girl. For sure every city has its unique look, but I experience similar crowds, sounds, colors, and space in cities like Taipei, Hong Kong, and Vancouver. Compared to Taipei where I grow up, Vancouver is quite unique in a way that I can reach beaches or forests within 10-minute driving from the city center. It provides a great diversity of life styles for people living in such a beautiful city. Indeed city life in the concrete jungle is not much different in various cities. However, in Vancouver, I see people jogging and biking around the seawall at dawn while people spotted a lady pondering over with or without her camera gears the same time. To me, that's the beauty of living in Vancouver!
The Series is done in the past few days for my class assignment (yes once again...). I feel I can elaborate on the Series with more details! Your comments are more than welcome as usual! :-)

The last time I really shot a train here was probably 15+ years ago. Sad to say that, but a lot of the drive to get out for this job was of course that fact, this line hasn't had great coverage in many years other than the occasional chance encounter. Here we see 'new' 394 with an ailing turbo on the middle GP40, having no difficulty at all muscling the 49 cars down to the eventual terminus of Lewiston Junction.

On the Peak to Peak we all stopped in Nederland for a 10 min stop to gather up then on to Estas Pk with a line up close t ok 40 rides.
37230 passes Claverton with 2V87, 16:30 Weymouth-Bristol Temple Meads Regional Railways service on 2 July, 1994. ‘Line of Beauty’ was a term coined by 18th century painter William Hogarth to describe an aesthetically pleasing ‘s’ curve, of which the line through the Limpley Stoke Valley, viewed from this point, is a good example.
