With pilotman aboard, 47460 hauls 87001 and the heavily delayed 0900 Euston-Ayr 'through the road' onto the Up Main at Lanark Jn. It will work wrong line as far as Law Jn, approx 7 miles away. SLW and isolation necessitated by planned track renewals at Law Jn. Why didn't they plan diversions via the G&SW? Answers on a postcard, please. 20th June 1987.
BNSF 6215 leads a loaded taconite train weaving between Minnesota and Wisconsin east of Wrenshall on the BNSF Lakes Subdivision at the aptly named location of State Line. Historically speaking, the Great Northern and Northern Pacific had a diamond crossing near this spot on the Minnesota - Wisconsin border with an interlocking tower. As the train comes around the outside of the curve here, the front end is in Minneota while the middle and rear are in Wisconsin.
My poor baby had surgery to get his line in his chest for the chemo to get started. He's doing well and just resting a lot. He is such a little fighter and doing well.

The Cambrian Heritage Railway at Lynclys Shropshire, photo taken from a brake van hauled by a former diesel shunter ending a mile down the track at Pant?. I had two reasons to visit this railway, one was the location, the other was to photograph a unique 1938 ex LMS third rail electric 23690. This can be seen between the two shunters and difficult to get a decent shot so I was a little disappointed. A image of this EMU in a recent railway periodical showed the unit to be where the Pacer is situated on the right, thinking it was still in that location. To make up for the disappointment I backtracked to Oswestry and looked over the main CHR site.
Located along the Pacific Coast well away of any tourist's radar is the port city of Onahama, and a little freight railway called the Fukushima Rinkai Railway.
The railway originally opened in 1915, and has been in operation since, first transporting passengers, then transitioning to freight only. It primarily hauls intermodal, and Zinc (until April 2025) on a short 6km line between the port, and the JR interchange at Izumi. The line was damaged in the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake but was back in business one year later. Currently, they employ a few 1970's built centercab diesel locomotives and operate only a handful of runs a day. Despite their sparsely operational nature, they are a fun little shortline to photograph, in a lowkey beautiful area of Japan.
Here, DD56-1 leaves the town of Onahama with a train of baretable intermodal cars for the JR interchange at Izumi Station.

Disused railway now a Loughborough footpath. The bluebells are further down the line and this footpath ends way before then.

I was just chilling on a walk yesterday, i knew it will be the last adventure with my Nikon D700. So i took few shots around me - waiting for last week to get another equipment - and i have to say that this location is pretty damn gorgeous. You may recognize these 2 mountains way further, deep behind me, you've already seen them before on my photo called "Outline"
The basic photo is so simple, but i had already in mind to make this kind of post-proc to get this "curved line" so the shooting lasted not more than 15minutes, for 30 shots. I'm not used to it but when you have an accurate vision of what you wanna get and how you'll manage to do it, everything's simple.
