Times gone by! This is a photo from 2002.
We were in the south of France at that time. Hiking in a very rugged area. It was a wonderful time, although it was very cold at the top here. Later, we warmed up in the sun; such a lovely memory this is.
The photo was analog and was later digitized. Now I've given it an even better "look" with Topaz's Gigapixel 8. The photo was very grainy but it has all been removed.
Like a cathedral the trees form pillars for the canopy of leaves (well, needles in this case...) up to the altar of light.

Before sunset we stayed to shot a raptor that we particularly liked. We worry on our way back to find the entry to the camp closed ! A few kilometers only from our destination and near a waterhole where apparently he just drink in, a cheetah was showing off before some admirers.At first lying on the ground, the animal roll sideways, seeming very calm, enjoying himself, ignoring us. Then he stand up and left us without hurry, coming back a few times, one or two bushes away, letting us admiring his feline beauty before leaving ...The wildlife photographer knows well this intense emotion which we never tires when wild nature offers us such a gift!

Avant le coucher du soleil nous sommes restés pour photographier un rapace que nous aimons particulièrement. Nous nous inquiétons en revenant de trouver l'entrée du camp fermée! A quelques kilomètres seulement de notre destination , près d'un point d'eau où il venait certainement de boire, ce guépard est allongé et roule sur lui même devant quelques admirateurs !Le photographe animalier connait bien cette émotion intense qui nous envahit et dont on ne se lasse jamais lorsque la nature sauvage nous offre un pareil cadeau !
Puis le guépard va s'en aller ,allant d'un buisson à l'autre ,nous permettant d'admirer sa beauté féline !
Il est temps pour nous de rentrer , encore émervveillés des moments que nous venons de vivre ..

entry: Some days I just don't feel much like myself. A little empty on the inside, but on the out I appear just fine, feel fine...no physical aches lately. I should be grateful

Whenever I show people my photographs, this one always gets a lot of attention. I think reflections like this have a built-in "ooooohhhh" factor...but I tend to like shots that you have to ponder a little more to appreciate. Still, I'm very happy with this one. There was minimal post-processing.
Again today it was -19C feels like -28C out there. I ran out and took a whole three photos of frozen bubbles before giving it up and coming in.
Prior to that though, I again noticed our Manitoba Maple Tree had a flock of visitors to partake in the scrumptious maple keys for breakfast before flying off down the road. As it was too darn cold I again grabbed the camera and shot these through the bathroom window glass. This is SOC no edits other than resized for the web. The sky is really that gorgeous deep blue which just goes to show once again how darn cold it is.
I want to thank each and everyone for your comments and visits to my little space here on Flickr. Although, I may not get to respond to all the comments left, rest assured, I read them and appreciate them all more than you know however, awards and invites aren't necessary.
But the evening was still like so many lately, far and wide no client was to be seen and I decided to make my way into town, even if the amount of linden dollars in my pocket was dwindling by leaps and bounds.
Maybe the news in the newspapers would give me a hint where I could find new clients, but even the kiosk on the corner was no longer what it used to be, what you could still find there was no less interesting but still far removed from the latest news.
