The bright lights in the Orchard Road area of Singapore - this was taken outside the Ion Orchard mall.
like the Nikon 20/1.8 produces :) This turned out to be not such a great sunset location so I turned my back shortly after this shot. Also this was the only moment in over two hours where the sun was peeking through the clouds to capture nice flares.

So glad that people have started to de-winter in the life of seconds, I am so over this cold weather and as much as the snow was pretty, it is just getting over kill now, in the words of Detox... I'm over it... officially! So hopping through some pages on wordpress this afternoon I found a link to what seemed to be a cool place for picture taking, so I did what anyone who loves to explore and find new locations, would do... I put on some pants and took myself over for a look-see.

I'd like to let you know that I'll be interrupting my virtual journey through time and around the world for a few weeks, as I'm embarking on a real trip tomorrow.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Thailand, where I'll be staying until the second week of October.
Until then, I'll be sharing photos from home. Like this one of a beautiful sunrise in the Königsbrueck Heather in Saxony, not far from Dresden. The photo is two years old, but was taken around the same time of year. So, things should look similar here at the moment.
As for the next three and a half weeks, I don't yet know how much I'll post here, because this trip isn't a normal vacation for me.
Instead, this stay will also serve as a time to prepare my emigration plans for next year.
Ich möchte Euch mitteilen, dass ich meine virtuelle Reise durch die Zeit und durch die Welt für ein paar Wochen unterbrechen werde, da ich mich morgen auf eine echte Reise begeben werde.
Und zwar mache ich mich morgen früh auf nach Thailand, wo ich bis zur zweiten Woche im Oktober bleiben werde.
Bis es soweit ist, zeige ich Fotos aus der Heimat. Wie dieses hier von einem wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang in der Königsbrücker Heide in Sachsen unweit von Dresden. Das Foto ist zwar schon zwei Jahre alt entstand jedoch ungefähr zum selben Zeitpunkt im Jahr. Im Augenblick müsste es hier also ähnlich aussehen.
Was die nächsten drei einhalb Wochen anbelangt so weiß ich noch nicht, wie viel ich hier posten werde, denn diese Reise ist kein normaler Urlaub für mich.
Stattdessen dient der Aufenthalt auch der Vorbereitung meiner Auswanderungspläne im kommenden Jahr.
