A quick passing by, Everyone. There's been a lot of things going on irl.
Happy weekend and thank you for your visit.
" Like a snake’s venom, it is always there, always ready. It lies in wait, hoping for the next unsuspecting victim. The pain is preceded by hope. A glimmer of “Maybe.” Maybe when those fangs sink into me, it won’t hurt me. Maybe the sweet anaconda embrace is a hug this time. Maybe this is the last time her hissed hello will bite me.
Hope all enjoy the work

I'd like to let you know that I'll be interrupting my virtual journey through time and around the world for a few weeks, as I'm embarking on a real trip tomorrow.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Thailand, where I'll be staying until the second week of October.
Until then, I'll be sharing photos from home. Like this one of a beautiful sunrise in the Königsbrueck Heather in Saxony, not far from Dresden. The photo is two years old, but was taken around the same time of year. So, things should look similar here at the moment.
As for the next three and a half weeks, I don't yet know how much I'll post here, because this trip isn't a normal vacation for me.
Instead, this stay will also serve as a time to prepare my emigration plans for next year.
DADDY: “Would you like some tea, Paddington?”
PADDINGTON: “Yes please, Daddy!”
DADDY: “Milk?”
PADDINGTON: “Yes please, Daddy! Just a slosh.”
DADDY: “One lump or two?”
PADDINGTON: “Two please, Daddy!”
DADDY: “Very good, Paddington darling.”
PADDINGTON: “And a sticky bun, please Daddy!”
DADDY: “Alright Paddington.”
PADDINGTON: “And some macarons, if you can manage it Daddy!”
DADDY: “Well I…”
PADDINGTON: “And a marmalade sandwich or twenty, please Daddy!”
DADDY: “Twenty, Paddington darling?”
PADDINGTON: “I have a grumbly tummy, Daddy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 30th of November is "coffee or tea". Being British and a traditionalist, I prefer tea to coffee, and I am not the only one in my household who is partial to a cup of tea, or two, or twenty. My Paddington Bear also enjoys a cup of tea for elevenses on any given day of the week. I hope you like my choice for this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!
Beautifully hand made by Merrythought in their historic Ironbridge factory, and based on the famous original drawings by Peggy Fortnum of Michael Bond's famous bear, the Paddington - Classic Edition is British-made (of course) and is truly timeless and designed to bring a lifetime of joy and companionship. Paddington combines the finest natural materials with four generations of the very best British teddy bear making expertise. His detailed design and expressive features give him a personality that you cannot help but fall in love with, and he will become a loyal lifelong companion - always by your side during the ups and downs of life, and a friend to make memories with! Made from woven mohair plush and soft cotton velvet, this Paddington is dressed in a pure red woollen felt hat and blue duffle coat with wooden toggle detailing. He is brought to life by a neatly hand-stitched nose and warm smile.
Made in a special numbered edition, I am fortunate enough to have number 17.
"Please look after this bear. Thank you."
The teacup I hold is one from a tea set for six complete with six trios, a milk jug sugar bowl and a cake plate. It looks remarkably contemporary in shape and style, yet it is actually from 1911. Produced by British pottery maker, Royal Doulton, this cup is made of translucent china so fine that you can see your hand’s shadow through it when held to the light. It bears a stylised Art Nouveau lily design painted by the most famous of Doulton’s freelance decorators, Robert Allen. To cope with their enormous output, Doulton used both in-house and freelance designers and painters, and in some cases these decorators also added pattern numbers to the wares. The best known is Robert Allen who added an ‘Ra’ number to wares decorated for Doulton in his design studio.

Blood Like Lemonade - Morcheeba
www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyRxTTegjXM
Healing holy man,
once upon a time
He lived for his wife
up until the crime
Hunting high and low
to seek revenge
Brand new moral code,
got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls
when he avenged
Evil spirits flowed,
he drank the blood like lemonade
Cozy campfire crowd
with a case of wine
I'm feeling fine
Bounty hunter now
and it crossed the line
Cross that line
Hunting high and low
to seek revenge
Brand new moral code,
got made reluctant renegade
Leaving empty souls
when he avenged
Evil spirits flowed,
he drank the blood like lemonade
One of many beautiful scenes I've seen. I love this one because it looks like a magical forest to me. :)

Times gone by! This is a photo from 2002.
We were in the south of France at that time. Hiking in a very rugged area. It was a wonderful time, although it was very cold at the top here. Later, we warmed up in the sun; such a lovely memory this is.
The photo was analog and was later digitized. Now I've given it an even better "look" with Topaz's Gigapixel 8. The photo was very grainy but it has all been removed.

I really like these flowers because they have such beautiful blooms and are so perfect for autumn. Many people think they're a cemetery flower, and you often see that there, since their blossoms are always open around All Saints' Day. Mine are now in the garden, and I hope they'll come back next year.

entry: Some days I just don't feel much like myself. A little empty on the inside, but on the out I appear just fine, feel fine...no physical aches lately. I should be grateful

It's a good time of year to find dried out wild weeds. This is a Abutilon theophrasti, aka velvetleaf, aka buttonweed. When fresh the seedpod is about 25mm in diameter, here the pedals have opened to about 36mm to 40mm. There is also a lot of dried berries and fruit like Bradford pear and crabapple. It was windy today and nothing would set still so I had to boost the ISO and get the shutterspeed up. So no focus stacking and therefore no real sharp, detailed image to post. HMM and thanks for all the views, faves and comments.
I think I like this shot even better than the one I posted before. It shows the entire body in focus.
Just like the bloom of a red rose starts as a bud with hints of red peeking through, so did this bloom of a sunset ... with hints of red in the clouds until the whole of the clouds burst forth with a red sunset blossom. I always enjoy sunset shoots in the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, California. This shoot was exceptionally fruitful, with multiple scenes of exceptional beauty. Oh God, thank you for the beauty of your creation!
