Wet days can be a pain when you want to get out and work with the camera, but there are some situations that seem to lend themselves to this - flowers are one of those. Perhaps its the softer light or the water drops that appear on the petals but they always look gorgeous in this light - throw in a fill flash where needed to punch up the exposure and highlight it and the results... Well I am pretty happy with these ones to be honest.
It amazes me that even in the middle of a drought the gardens can bloom like this : Water Restrictions and fines have been in place for some time yet its a testament to the sub-tropical nature of Brisbane that its still green and lush in most places - recycled water is used heavily in the Roma Street Gardens and it shows.
I love the vibrance of this - the colors glow like something artifical and its just a wonderful wallpaper as well.
This series is all as it was shot - nothing adjusted - shot with the stock standard kit lens - 18-55 on an apeture priority setting.

apparently this was meant to be a red fox? My sis' boyfriend and my mum thought it was an owl and me a deer, but then i realised that if you changed the colours a bit it looks like one of the typhlo gang. Just me?
But it's dessert. The granita melted quickly, the pulled sugar ribbon was nice but it was kinda hard to eat this. The spoon was too thick to get under things and we were chasing things around our plates.

This is like 3 coats and it's still so sheer u can see the whites of my nails! It's a great color because it's a neon MEDIUM green color and not nearly as neon as the pics show!!!

Today I went on a Mountain Bike trip (BTT) from half way mountain, over 1000m high, from Pico das Pedras - Santana to the beach bay in Faial. Great trip, great trails, I certainly must do it again. Check the photos and see how it was on my stream :-)
*People tell me I look bad in sunglasses and people in bike helmets often look stupid sooo what better photo to 365 days... Today: Xtreme sillyness selfportrait. lol
Like a lot of festival goers we had always joked around saying “wouldn’t it be nice to put on our own ‘perfect’ festival with our favourite line up”. It was only after having been to a small and intimate festival in 2005 that Simon thought to himself that we can actually make this happen and put on our own quality festival. Simon teamed up with his friend Sofia, and the kind of festival they set out to create was one where:
- You won’t get all the over hyped bands headlining
- Most bands play longer sets than usual
- You can eat a range of quality food
- You can drink a range of quality beers
- The staff and security care about everyone and show respect
- The crowd will be there for the MUSIC
- We take pride in being an independent festival.
- The idea with the End of the Road Festival was to organise an intimate festival with our favourite artists and to create a festival with a friendly and relaxed feel.
The Larmer Tree Gardens (North Dorset/Wiltshire borders, UK) is the perfect venue to create this kind of atmosphere - where music-loving, open minded and chilled out people get together in the beautiful countryside whilst parrots and peacocks wander around!
This is the kind of festival where the ENTIRE line-up is the headliner in itself!
End of the Road festival takes a lot of pride in all the ‘little things’ that make a great festival, such as good food (organic and local where possible), good beer, caring and well-mannered staff, good site decorations, hygiene etc.

I was surprised that Finn chose neutral colors instead of the bright sweater I thought she would pick. I guess her bright hairs call for more subtle outfits! :)
