It was Christmas! This was taken with my Olympus E-M1 using the pro lens in Helsinki. The E-M1 stabilisation allowed for a hand-held exposure and zooming out to create the effect.
No, you are not on drugs. I was just playing around with zooming during the shot. Looks like we're about to make the jump to light speed!
The speed of light, usually denoted by c, is a physical constant important in many areas of physics. Light and all other electromagnetic radiation always travel at this speed in empty space (vacuum), regardless of the motion of the source or the inertial frame of the observer. Its value is exactly 299,792,458 metres per second[1] (approximately 186,282 miles per second).
Although it may look like this locomotive is doing every bit of track speed, unfortunately 10mph was the limit. But hey, it makes for a neat photo.
We're aboard an NS Dash 9, headed east on double jointed rail with 80 loaded grain hoppers for the mills in Candor.
(Disclaimer: This photo was taken with permission from the train crew of the ACW, who let me hop aboard for about a mile to take this photo before disembarking)

"R2, lightspeed to Endor!"
For those getting sick of getting involved in dangerous space battles on their Star Tours flight to Endor, there is the VW StarCamper 3000. Based on the StarSpeeder 3000, this is a smaller, camper-sized vessel that you can use to go camping with your family. Just don't let an RX pilot droid drive it or you'll never get to Endor.
Another entry for the Pimp My Camper Contest on Eurobricks, inspired by Chris Deck's design.
On my way home tonight, I still had my camera and tripod rigged up from the previous shot, so I figured why not try the same thing at night? I unscrewed the ND filter, set it to f/22 and 100 ISO and headed home. I never dreamed how cool these would turn out. The bumps in the road add a bonus beat-graph feel to the shot.

Fixed the camera with a tripod in the car. Used the Rokinon 8mm lens. Aperture 5.6, 6 seconds using the Christmas lights of the streets.

Taken by the #1 road up on Hellisheiði, but this time looking in the direction of Hveragerði and Selfoss, the orange light by the horizon is ambient light coming from there.
