Taking photos of trains at Koeln Hbf brought much amusement to the locals and tourists who bustled around me on Saturday night. It was embarrassment, rather than suffering, for my art...

Sustenance is what is needed at this hour. Everything is travelling at lightspeed and one is forsaken, clasping onto dark matter as though the comprehension of it all just seems to want to stop and smell the roses. There is the idea of letting go of one's comfort-zone, allowing gravity to dislocate oneself back into consciousness through the wake-up call implanted by the languishing awareness surreptitiously triggered by the engrossing struggle of the hopes of future endeavors. There is the forgetful nature of being drawn towards salutary requirements; and even with the intentions, hindrances can follow, consigning to oblivion.

"My lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com-scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment."

"The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system."

"He...He felt surprise was wiser—"

"He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack."

"Yes, my Lord."

―General Maximillian Veers and Darth Vader

The Battle of Hoth, also known as the attack on Hoth, the assault on Echo Base, attack on Echo Base, or the defense of Echo Base, was a major battle fought in 3 ABY and was considered a major victory for the Galactic Empire and the single worst battlefield defeat suffered by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was an Imperial invasion led by Darth Vader, aimed at destroying the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base hidden on the remote ice world Hoth and capturing Luke Skywalker.

The base's location was discovered when a Viper probe droid, deployed by Darth Vader's Death Squadron randomly landed on Hoth, convincing the Rebels to begin an evacuation of Hoth.

A longexposure from Reñaca to Viña del Mar. It was very dangerous to be in that spot, but I got the shot, right?

The ISS Rotterdam is a multi-purpose spaceway interchange stationed near the dwarf planet Ceres. As commercial interstellar travel increased at the turn of the 22nd century, planetside depots and stations became increasingly congested. To keep up with demand and provide some order to the hitherto criss-crossing lightspeed travel routes, a small number of self-sustaining space stations were commissioned to serve as stopping points for both cargo and passenger ships. The ISS Rotterdam, alongside its sister stations ISS Busan, ISS Los Angeles and ISS Antwerp, pioneered many features that are now commonplace on more modern space stations. Further stations many times the size of these original spaceports followed shortly after to increase docking capacity; nevertheless, the ISS Rotterdam remains an important junction in the Milky Way's lightspeed and sub-light travel networks.

Well this was a barrel of laughs! My first SHIPtember has resulted in by far my biggest design yet (no surprises there). I'm quite pleased with the result, and I feel I've learned a lot in the process, despite 'cheating' in only taking part digitally. I may try to slowly accumulate parts to build this monster in the brick - though by the time that happens, it'll probably be time to start thinking about SHIPtember 2021...!

First time ever I worked on a picture taken with my phone. I have always been picky about the gear I use to manage optimal image quality from a technical perspective.

It turns out that I am no longer denying that the best camera, is the one that you have with you!

―General Maximillian Veers and Darth Vader

The Imperial attack force consisted of primarily AT-AT walkers, commanded by General Maximilian Veers. His army was tasked with destroying Echo Base's main power generator to allow orbital bombardment of the planet and for Darth Vader to land on the planet. Spearheading the defense of the generator was Rogue Squadron, manning snowspeeders, commanded by Luke Skywalker, renowned for being the pilot who destroyed the first Death Star.

The snowspeeders however did not have the necessary firepower to bring down the walkers, so Skywalker suggested an alternative tactic to trip up the walkers with the tow cables issued to every snowspeeder.

Despite the efforts by Rogue Squadron, the power generator was eventually destroyed by Veers' main AT-AT. The remaining base personnel proceeded to evacuate, as the 501st Legion, led by Darth Vader, entered the base.

The overwhelming Imperial invasion forced the Rebellion to scatter the Alliance Fleet across the galaxy, leading to a multitude of scattered skirmishes across the galaxy for over six months before the Empire's sudden and crushing defeat at the Battle of Endor.

Not taken a photo like this for ages so enjoyed giving it ago again, let me know what you think, thanks :)
