Well, as we did not catch any fish, we had to fly the "Skunked" flag. Luckily, we had the "Happy Hour" flag to offset the loss.
As we had caught fish today, I could happily take down the "Skunked" flag and proudly hoist the "Fish" flag.
Marker for the U.S.S. Monitor, which was lost nearby. This is my last Outer Banks photo - for this trip at least! However, as Gen. Douglas MacArthur once said... "I shall return."
Entrance ramp sign at Hatteras Inlet. We stopped here to air down our tires before proceeding onto the beach. This ramp is right by the new "Graveyard of the Atlantic" museum at Hatteras Inlet.
This morning/early afternoon we went to the light house. Climbed 185(or was it 186...) spiral stair case and got to the top! It was really cool seeing the island like that. Not a very big place at all!
And doesn't it look like I stuck Mr.B in front of a postcard and snap a shot? haha.
