Kendi just heard one of his toddler friends talking with "real words" for the first time and he was very excited! He ran to his board and drew this, a little girl saying "Ello" with the caption "MaeLee's learning to Speak!"
Noticed a dark spot in my photos a couple of months ago. Turned out to be a tiny speck of dust on the image sensor. Not having a proper cleaning kit, I thought I could just get rid of it by blowing on it with my mouth. A very poor decision on my part as a tiny glob of saliva flew from my mouth and landed on the image sensor. I watched it slowly dry, assuming it would disappear once it dried. Instead it left a visible stain that appeared in photos as a wisp of dark smoke. Not only that, but the dust speck I had been trying to remove in the first place was still there. I broke down and purchased a methanol based cleaner and some swabs, and set about cleaning the sensor properly. Worked like a charm as far as the dust spot, but the saliva stain remained. Turns out you need a water based cleaning solution to remove saliva stains. So $30 later, I tried again with a product from Canada called 'Sensor Clean' made by VisibleDust. The saliva stain disappeared with just a single swipe! So lesson learned: keep your mouth shut whenever you remove a lens from your camera!

One of Kendi's Kiwi Crate activities this month was salt dough sculptures. After his art dried in the over we used the 3-D paint included in the crate for another craft to decorate our sculptures. I love his hand print, on it he wrote "Kendi was here".
