This was particularly relvant to me, as my back wheel was recently stolen in broad daylight.
The quick release let soemone remove my wheel without using any tools. I don't need quick release on my rear wheel, so I think I'll secure it using a fastener.
A behind-the-door shoe rack makes a perfect organizer for all that stuff I have to keep in my pockets or that I have to grab when leaving the house. Works great!
I haven't used fabric softener for more than a month now, after hearing about the aluminum foil trick... Put a couple of balls in the dryer (three for large loads). It clunks and clanks a bit, but keeps the clothes static free -- I can't explain the science of it.
(Some people say they will miss the scent of fabric softener. We haven't used scented fabric softener or detergent for years now, since I convinced my wife that dyes and scents don't get the clothes any cleaner. I was only using fabric softener to fight static cling.)

At four patties to a freezer bag instead of the 9 shown in Lifehacker's blog entry, the patties are a bit bigger than a traditional hamburger bun. It made no difference to Ben!
A bike that caught my attention at work. A Fuji with a clever use of a kitty litter box. This would be great on a rainy commute.
I use Franklin Planner's Cutaway Daily Notes for this note bookmark.

Going My Way: メモできるしおり
In which I attempt to explain life hacks to a lay audience in 9 slides.
I swear it’s funnier with the transitions and my live musical soundtrack (mostly performed while holding my nose and trying to emulate an Edison Wax Cylinder).
Just got back into using RainMeter after that last LH post. I like having my desktop free to view all the artwork I've collected for my XBMC build, but at the same time I want to access 90% of my most used files and programs within 3 clicks of my desktop. So, queue a small rainmeter overlay with an rss feed, resource monitor, links to common files / folders, and mail notifications. The Zune software was just for kicks - I can never get over the now playing UI.
I basically blended the Enigma and ABP skins, with some custom tweaking. The Resource monitor links to Task Manager and my drives, and I used the last set of "program" links from ABP's launcher to link to folders I use most often.

There's a option in DD-WRT's advanced wireless settings that is Xmit Power ,The default value of xmit power of wrt54g is 28 and I tured it to 70 as the DD-WRT manual said. This really enhance the wireless signal intensity observably!!!
Apple wired mouses are renowned for long cable. This is my simple and free (excluded the trip for picking a rock) fix.
Using all the things "TheAslan" made, cept the Drive meter.
Also edited the mail icon in enigma since i couldnt get his mail to work for me...
Then the 3 drop downs are from the MoxxPack, but i edited them and made them the bluish color. Im also using the Electric Space CPU/Ram Meter thing, but i slightly changed the bar color from a darker blue to this bright color.

Here's an easy trick to remember if the contents of your dishwasher are clean:
You will need: 2 index cards, Pens or Sharpies, scotch tape
1. Take one index card, on the left side write "Clean" and on the right, write "Dirty" (or vice-versa, depending on your preference).
2. With the second card, hold it perpendicular to the first card, centered vertically, and fold over the first card so you've got two flaps (you might want to give it a couple extra millimetres for easier sliding). Set aside the first card.
3. Apply a strip of tape to the inside panel of both flaps and adhere it to your dishwasher's front panel.
4. Slide in the first card, and you've now got your very own handy-dandy sliding dishwasher status indicator!
