“Climate change is sometimes misunderstood as being about changes in the weather. In reality, it is about changes in our very way of life.” - Paul Poleman
We have just spent a few days with our family that is a household with 3 children. They live in a big city and it was such a transition for us to deal with heavy traffic and a busy daily routine. I can't imagine where you would begin to make lifestyle changes to benefit our environment when the modern conveniences make life somewhat easier for many families. I must confess that any more significant changes I have made for the good of climate change have come after the kids left home and especially now that we are retired. I was able to convince my granddaughter to put away her electronics a few times to do a puzzle together and to go for a long walk. On that walk, she talked so much and I got to know her better.
This image of the beach was taken on our fall camping trip where we took our other grandchildren camping for several days. Hopefully, I can continue to find ways to remind them how important even a little bit of a lifestyle change can mean a lot in the whole scheme of things to keep peaceful places like this healthy. My thoughts are with all the people out west and east who are dealing with severe weather events.
For the Crazy Tuesday challenge: "Crazy Still Life."
The main piece of the still life is Utah Yellow Honeycomb calcite. The only place in the world where this beautiful translucent mineral is found is in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah.
Hello friends! Our area was caught up in an ice storm, with many downed trees, utility poles snapped in two and wires on the ground. We were without power for 10 days... it was a very difficult time and sure made us aware of how we take things for granted - like heat, water, and electricity. We are so thankful that our power has now been restored.
I wish you all a great start to the week, and even with feelings of uncertainty, I still 'like this little life' and hope you do too... : )
This is the waterside life. This shot is taken in my suburb, patterson lakes... there is quiet a few waterside spots that you don't generally get to see as its private property. Had a bit of an explore around the back of the shops and this stood out with the nice reflective water. thanks for viewing.

Play teaches life skills about communication, confidence, social skills and more. It's a fun way to learn. These two spring cubs are spending their day romping, rolling nad learning while their mom chases salmon to make sure their bellies stay full.
Notice the sand thrown into the air with their antics.
Just a quick pic of Crispin I snapped just now with my iPhone. 😉 No fancy backgrounds, just... real life!
♥️ Have a nice week!

it depends on the way we occupy that place." ~ Therese of Lisieux
