Life is getting harder and harder

When

life is being hard,

you feel

trapped

in a hole.

Looking back,

you will know:

you have

gone through,

gained a lot,

from

those moments in life.

Thanks to Brooke for being a prop for this photo, just a random guy who I asked to breathe some more "life" into this scene...

GLOW Festival in downtown Calgary all weekend, tonight is the last night... I only went for one day, last night...

Once I seemed to be blind, I couldn't find my way.. and then your hand appeared out of the darkness..

There are a number of these themed artworks around Amherst featuring quotes from well-known locals. This one is from biologist Lynn Margulis, who spend the second-half of her career at UMass-Amherst. Here's another one from 2013 with a quote from Emily Dickinson.

DLECTRICITY 2012 Installation, Artist: NBNY.

Nuit Blanche New York (NBNY) presents a curated collaborative response by artists, writers, architects, and urbanists to the multitude of visions of the new city. Through a unique online visual platform, participants in New York and Detroit visually interpreted a glossary of writing about Detroit as a collage of moving images, photographs and illustrations. These works have been facilitated by NBNY using an innovative new tool, ToBe– a web-based interface that allows users to collage media in a canvas where they can draw and modify a shared palette of shifting content. Juxtaposing outsiders and locals, the project takes inspiration from How to Recuperate an Urban Crisis, Andrew Herscher’s important new glossary of urban figurations on Detroit. “ToBe Detroit” illustrates the complication and conflict of perception and offers a platform for visual dialog as a means to explore community across geographic boundaries.

NY contributors include: Urtzi Grau, Cristina Goberna, Canyon Castator, Karen Wong, Cassim Shepard, Troy Conrad Theiren, Pedro Gadanho

Detroit contributors include: M Saffell Gardner, Dianetta Dye, Olayami Dabls, Brandon Walley, Glen Mannisto, Vince Carducci, Cedric Tai, Mo Will, Daniel Sperry

I got quite a few in-focus swinging photos yesterday so I thought I'd post at least one more variant.

I applied adjustments to bring out the color but made sure I didn't overcook the girl's saturation in the process through layering.

Handmade journal from a regular ol' compostion notebook.

Life shows its own nature in so different ways,

the life energy appears uncontrollable in very strange place and dimensions;

this was my though coming back from the hospital after a visit to my great friend,

touching the fisical and psicological pain something moved inside me

so I stopped my car and remained tuned scanning the air around....

These shots are dedicated to my friend Bro Nic the Photo Boss.

I'wasn't able to make a choice between them,so similar so different....

A few days back I was reading this on Arjun’s page A travel junkie, caught between the dream world and the real world. Couldn’t stop pondering how true it was. Most of the times I find myself balancing myself between various things in life –work and life, yummy and healthy food, black-and-white and color photos …. just to name a few. Don’t know how many of you would agree though.

Decided to do this also in a monochromatic mood. This was taken at the Carnegie Museum. To me the layers of glass all around the figure represents the facets we are trying to balance in our lives with.

Unfinished portrait from life. Charcoal on paper.
