Life's 1990 F1 car. It went down in history as possibly the worst F1 car ever built. The chassis was hopelessly out of date, the engine was a strange W12 configuration and it had about 70% of the power of its rivals. The thing never made it out of pre-qualifying.
Homework this week is still life so having a mess around with some different props, not sure which looks best so will see what comments i get.

Lost focus of once thought
to be life's goal
now balances on daily acts
of others' actions.
The purpose once prevalent
now lingers in doubt,
uncertain of my role
and where it will lead.
This unsettled plan weak
once a strong force
drove with passion
and fearlessness.
Worn down by time
energy level low
held back from truth
now turned stagnate.
Pulled away from negative
remember the plan
put blinders up
block out the bad.
One track mind in focus
this goal straight ahead
push obstacles away
rejuvenate, rebuild, stronger.
Visualize the purpose
vivid plan now in action
strength to show
move forward.

My grandson set up this still life arrangement for an art class assignment - not bad either, I thought. We photographed it, then he processed the photo for painting. He uses my Corel Painter program, and thinks that is very cool. He painted out the messy background, then hand-painted each object [with me giving pointers, natch; but he is used to that, having lived next door to me for his entire life of 15 years! ]
He had such fun with this that I wanted to paint my own version....and then I wanted to soup it up some...so here are the usual multiple results of our efforts.
Serving as the official kickoff of the Fall 2013 semester, the College of DuPage Office of Student Life hosted several events as part of Chaparral Days. Events included games, music, giveaways, free food, and information sessions. Chaparral Days events promote student interaction and engagement.
