Photograph taken at 09:55am on September 3rd 2012 off the A593 by Old Close Coppice, Penny House Wood and Lane Head Coppice beside a beautiful body of water called Yew Tree Tarn, a small lake in the English Lake District situated in between the towns of Ambleside and Coniston.
The tarn was formed when the local landowner dammed the Yewdale Beck in the 1930s.

It's not often I enter a photography competition for obvious reasons. But the Art in Hats exhibit curated by Quan Lavender, which is quite stunning by the way, currently has a competition. Each person starts with the same plain grey cloche hat and decorates it for a photograph.
I'm sure most people will photoshop their hat decoration but mine really is inworld like that, temporarily at least. Laughs. I will never be an SL milliner like the talented Reghan Straaf! But it gave me an excuse to dress up in some 20s flapper clothes, a favourite period for me.
I'm not asking you to vote for me (the competition is 50% popular vote but also 50% juried) but to vote for your favourite so the competition is a genuine success. Take in the wonderful exhibit while you are there. It highlights the the work of some very talented SL milliners and SL photographers.

In the game Second Life, I play the avatar Juushika Redgrave.
I needed to take a break and stretch out from my adorable but remarkbly strange (for me) bunny avatar, so I'm back to my usual neko self. This outfit sort of fell together, turning out nothing like I intended, but I like it anyway. The PixelDolls overshirt was the start of the outfit, and I wore it with a skirt from Last Call, now of course retired. I added some shades of purple for some color—through the make up, shirt (from Celestial Studios, tinted), and laces thanks to the wonderful options on these Shiny Things boots. The hair is from ETD, a messy updo which just seemed to be the only hair that fit the look. I'm fond of the monochromatic with a hit of color, and like this style.
