Right after playing at the Sunshine Park fountain, we were lucky to catch the ice cream truck. It's hard to see in this photo of a photo but i caught some sweet light in Kylie's eyes as she started eating her ice cream.
We ordered books 1-8 of the Ivy and Bean book series. The set came with Ivy and Bean paper dolls and lots of re-usable sticker clothes and accessories. Kylie has played with these dolls quite a bit this week. I’ve loved to watch her change their clothes and act out scenes with them.
Journaling on the card with red string: knew Kylie was too quiet. I was working in the office and realized that I hadn’t heard Kylie. I popped up and Kylie yelled, “Surprise!” from the kitchen. She had made a pretend laser beam obstacle course in the kitchen. She had taped red yarn in all different directions throughout the kitchen. It was very creative!
Knitting card: I finished knitting Mom’s “Baby It’s Cold Outside” poncho. I still need to weave in the ends and wash/block it. I started knitting Dad’s “Henry” scarf. I’m using Rowan’s Classic Yarns Cashsoft 4 ply yarn in a pretty gray color named “Thunder”. I’ve been knitting on it while watching the Olympics. Both knitting projects are going to be Christmas presents.

Kylie has been adamant about opening the heavy doors at our local library. She loves to show me how strong she is.
You might think it's funny to have a "Life is so, so good" banner next to me running but I didn't really know just how much I loved to run until I was injured and couldn't run at all. The green journaling card states:
With trainer Joy’s help, I had a great month of training. I feel like I’m finally moving past my plantar fasciitis injury that I incurred in May and that waylaid me during June. I am thrilled to be running again!! In July I exercised 27 days and had 4 days off. This month I had:
14 runs for a total of 53.64 miles
5 bike rides for 62.32 miles
7 swims for 9700 yards (5.5 miles)
3 strength training sessions and
2 yoga sessions.

One of very few snapshots I ever took when I was in Teen Second Life (just before transferring to the main grid (December 2008)).
A snapshot I took of the entire Teen Grid (yes, the whole map). When people told me that the main grid was supposally huge compared to the tsl map, they weren't kidding. I didn't think they meant that it literally was that massive.

I actually had fun today. Hung out all day with people I used to, two years ago, before I got way tangled up in too many messes.

Moments.......Of Life
There are some moments in our lives which we like to cherrish forever....I wish I remained a child....but I think we do have a child inside us....
I took this photo of my younger son, while he was busy at the beach....he always asks me "When will I grow old...Daddy ??" I try to make him understand that you are at the best times of your life.....
May be someday he will look in this picture and try to re-collect this "moment of life...." that will be a tribute to me.......

My last work is called Life! How to represent life through the body, to create one ideal body that contains all phases of life at one time. To enjoy and understand in one single moment how life and relationships are beautiful! Starting when we are young, the relationship with our parents that helps us to grow up, then we are waiting for a baby, the most beautiful gift of our lives! And then, when we are older the intense and deep hug with our partner and a beautiful kiss!
A still life (plural still lifes) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on) in an artificial setting. With origins in ancient times and most popular in Western art since the 17th century, still life paintings give the artist more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition than do paintings of other types of subjects such as landscape or portraiture. Still life paintings, particularly before 1700, often contained religious and allegorical symbolism relating to the objects depicted. Some modern still life breaks the two-dimensional barrier and employs three-dimensional mixed media, and uses found objects, photography, computer graphics, as well as video and sound.
From the leaves and rests of last years plants the new plants come to life. New life rising from the old.

We went with a couple of friends to Olbrich Gardens again since I realized I should be going there more to take pictures and had a great time. It ended up being mostly cloudy which led to soft lighting for portraits. Worked out great.

I had another version of this image but I couldn't seem to get the post processing how I wanted.
With a bit of fettling in Lightroom and desaturatiing all the colours apart from red it really "popped".
Love this shot, made getting up at 5 worth it!
The title is a slogan Coca-cola used in 2001. With the Olympics soon to be here, Coca-cola advertising is popping up everywhere. They are trying their best to get the next generation drinking Coke by using China's most popular athletes including Liu Xiang - 110m hurdles, Yao Ming - NBA and Guo Jing Jing - Diving (who is on this one).
The Olympic Games will soon be upon us. With Coca Cola's sponsorship of the Olympics they are going all out to get a new generation of Chinese drinking their products. In response, other soft drink companies are also promoting their products strongly including Chinese brands. This is evident on the public buses in Nanning with a range of advertisements for several different drinks appearing. There is Soccer player David Beckham promoting Pepsi; NBA Basketball player Yao Ming, Olympic 110m Hurdles Gold Medalist Liu Xiang and Olympic Gold Medalist Diver Guo Jing Jing promoting Coke; 7-up; Red Bull; a Green Tea drink; an Ice Red Tea drink; Jackie Chan promoting Ice Green & Red Tea drinks; Wang's Lucky Old Cooling Tea drink; and a couple of different orange flavoured drinks.
