Our first day in Casablanca, we visited the tallest Mosque in Morocco. The Moroccan art & architecture is a study in symmetry.
As one can imagine, I have tons and tons of photos to sift through. The bad news is, I dropped my D90 in Santorini, Greece -- on concrete. I could only take photos manually, and even then had trouble with focus and exposure.

This is a photograph of the library at the Canterbury campus, a building that could be considered the center of the campus, a building that sits on top on Canterbury. I decided to shoot this photo at night because I felt it resonated with student life. students often find themselves at night studying and like the student in the front they sometimes find themselves rushing even when no one else is.

The Queens Library in Flushing is a beautiful building. I was surprised to find that this isn't the main library. Still, it's a large one and well used.
It was a gray day, so even my new Zeiss lens couldn't make this look bright and cheerful, but it is sharp.
Opposite a church, and next to a cluster of specialist NHS clinics, this small library is in a village south of Maidstone.
The main library in Cerritos is an amazing building. The exterior is very modern and much of it is clad in titanium tiles. You can see the sign for the library through the hole of the sculpture, which is called Tsunami by artist Mark Leichliter.
To really appreciate the detail in the 3-D image, view both pictures above in the original size so that they fill the screen. Don't sit too far from the screen, cross your eyes until you see three images. You might have to adjust your focus back and forth a bit but the middle image should eventually pop into view as 3D.
Riding my bike I stopped in at the little library near Saline City Hall. There is a pleasant bench in front for rest.
The second floor of the Clifton W. Everett Building has been cleared out to make way for much-needed renovations.
The library in Belding, Michigan was opened in 1918. It was donated to the town by Alvah N. Belding of the Belding Brothers Company.
In 1980 it became a state historic site and in 1993 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Recently a large addition was added to the back of the library, overlooking the Flat River.
scanning the YCAM library. this is my first attempt at 3d scanning a very large space, and i haven't correctly accounted for the extrinsics yet -- i just guessed approximately.
i tried accounting for the distortion coefficients, but somehow that introduced more distortion, so i have to fix that too.

The recently completed Sahuarita Library of the Pima County Library system, located at 670 W. Sahuarita Rd. in Sahuarita, AZ opened its doors on September 7, 2021.

This is the cute little Russells Mills Library in Dartmouth, MA. We stopped by here while caching, hoping to find a public internet computer - no such luck. What I did find was a library that has been recently stripped of its historical charm (the ornate wooden bookcases that had lined the walls were ripped out and replaced with industrial library shelving), and one pissed-off librarian. I listened while she lamented the loss of her beloved shelves, and while she spoke about how the town was not interested in funding library services - and that soon this library won't be funded anymore. Sad.
