My brother and I love our local pizza place, Tony's New York Pizza! We go there at least once a month, but there always has been a problem... sliding cheese.
You see, when you have great pizza like this, you can't just throw it in the back seat where the pizza sit tilted, as all the cheese will smoosh to one side. That's why I'm the official pizza-leveler, accompanying my brother to the pizza place, just to keep the pizza level on the drive home. Well now I have a solution!
This device, controlled by an Arduino, senses the tilt of the pizza through a Razor IMU, and the Arduino commands a servo to level the pizza accordingly. This way the pizza will remain perfectly level for perfectly even cheese!
Current design only corrects tilt on one axis, which should be sufficient since cars typically don't roll too much compared to how much they pitch forward and backwards. The clear bits are made from 0.220" clear acrylic, with 12" wooden dowels separating them.
Now I just need some Ponoko laser cutting to get this all done!

Carondelet Park St. Louis City on 8/8/13 (CM) - Wow, there were so many juveniles mixed in with the adults. I knew I better get photos to document these birds and their numbers. They are escaping in this photo from loud machines being moved past them. The birds were constantly relocating as these machines (bulldozers and levelers, etc.) were used to work on the Riverfront Trail. The birds had obviously nested in the area under construction. I think the fledglings fledged just in time. They are flying over Jewelweed. At one point when a large group was all together on the ground, I counted 63 ETS.
