On the sidelines of CHOGM2022, Rwanda and the UK, together with the COP26 Presidency, hosted a high level event on Keeping 1.5 Alive, assessing COP26 outcomes and building momentum for COP27.

The side event provided an opportunity to assess the progress on the Glasgow Climate Pact and discuss ways to access innovative climate finance, including an introduction to the Kigali Principles on Carbon Finance.

The High-Level side event brought together a range of leaders from across the Commonwealth, UN organisations, civil society, the private sector and young people.

Here is the gasket surface on the head just after a quick few passes on the decking stone. The dark areas are the low spots, and thus need to be further worked.

Progress in April 2017 to remove the level crossing at Corrigan Road in Noble Park including rebuilding of the railway station. The project part of a larger one to remove the remaining level crossings between Caulfield and Dandenong.

In this area a new two track viaduct is being built to elevate the line above Corrigan Road and nearby Heatherton Road which requires rebuilding of the station at the Noble Park end of the structure with Sandown Park station unchanged. The new lines are being built adjacent to the existing ones with the bridges formed using precast Super-T beams. This is part of the controversial 'Skyrail' treatment used to elevate the lines above the road with similar designs employed at Chandler Road and between Oakleigh and Caulfeild stations - the latter being more of an issue with properties backing onto the line.

They were out practising, but I would have thought if they were rescuing someone from the waters edge, they would have carried them onto the beach, rather than drag them back to the boat … but what do I know :))

Day out with Pauls Pix 53 … first stop the beach at Pett Level, then a wander around Winchelsea then for a woodland scrabble at Pett. I managed to fill a 16GB card, so it might take me a while to sort them out :)) It was a good day, dry with sunshine and not that cold.

Day 85, Port 27, Country 16; Bangkok, Thailand: CMV World Cruise

Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. The city of Bangkok has a population of over eight million, and over fourteen million people within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region. After touring the Grand Temple we were dropped off at a big hotel for a long dinner break, I chose to eat out and explore the city. This intersection of overhead motorway and high level rail system. As can be seen although there were plenty of cars, there were many more motorcycles.
