The top is a scan of the raw lettering from a greeting card lettering job I did. It was written with a Scharff pointed sable brush on translucent vellum. A bit rough to start, but enough to work with. The finished tag line shown was touched up in Photoshop.
Lovely. I must condemn vandalism in general, but this is a sort of aesthetic variant that leaves me conflicted.
Éltek-e még régi lányok,
vagy alusztok már?
Vagy alusztok már
vizes homokban, sárból ágyon?
Sok fehér babáim, fehér babáim,
fehér babák.
Mi történt, mi történt lányok?
Hová tettétek, sok régi lányok,
Vizes homokban, vagy hol bújtatjátok?
Hová tettük el, veszÃtettük el,
és dobáltuk el?
Ha kérdezném, ezt mondanátok:
elszakadt inged, régi kabátod
nálunk találod;
elvittük magunkkal,
homokból ágyba, vÃzbe és sárba, mi fehér babák.
Éltek-e még régi lányok,
vagy alusztok már, vagy alusztok már,
vizes homokban, sárból ágyon?
Sok fehér babáim, fehér babáim,
fehér babák.
Valami történt, valami, lányok;
rajtatok látom, rajtam látjátok;
elveszett végképp, vagy ti bújtatjátok;
Ti fehér babáim, fehér babáim,
fehér babák.
This time there's some black & white lettering - well, black and silver to be exact. It's of course very important to not slip any confidential company things into these posts since some of them are made at work meetings. As the above is a typical example of my notes my employer shouldn't have too much to worry about. As usually, this is made with felt-tip-, ball-point- and gel pens. Original size about 6 x 11 cm.

One of a series of greeting card designs I did for American Greetings using Zapfino as a starting point. I had to alter the type a lot to make these work.
More bouncy Uncial. This is my version of a line of text from Carl's handouts.
This was done with a 3/8" Horizon folded pen and walnut ink.
These folks threatened to call the cops on me, demanding a minor detail be repainted. Don't ever go here.
If i had been treated with respect as an artist, I might have respected the proportion and leveling of the paint job, as you can see we have some spacing issues and major discrepancies in font/lettering size.
Treat your artists with respect!
