One of a series of greeting card designs I did for American Greetings using Zapfino as a starting point. I had to alter the type a lot to make these work.
More bouncy Uncial. This is my version of a line of text from Carl's handouts.
This was done with a 3/8" Horizon folded pen and walnut ink.

This lettering attracts a lot of attention. My wife and I argued for days over what it should say. She thought "electric vehicle" was too plain and boring. But anything else would be ambiguous as to what it meant and I wanted people to know when the saw the car that it was electric-only vehicle.
