This was done for the Calligraphy Guild of Columbus for their 30th anniversary. I did a series of Cure for Cancer lettering jobs a while back that used this same exaggerated lettering style.

A common Art Deco style, perhaps a template.

War Memorial. A large, arched, stone slab in church wall consisting of a wide, decorated border of leaves & berries surrounding the main constituents. At the top is a large roundel, showing St George and the dragon in relief, with a smaller roundel on each side. Underneath a ridge is a dedication in raised lettering on a gold background. Beneath this are three, tall, bronze panels embellished with thistles and trefoils on their sides with names in raised, upper case lettering with those who died indented. The arch sits in a lower section with a ledge above a further quotation in raised lettering on a gold background. Below is a wide, brass plaque with a wreath in relief at bottom plus WW2 names & rank in raised, upper case lettering.

Lots of Art Deco lettering in São Paulo, especially in the city cemetery on markers dated 1920–60. Much of it prefab, or sculpted by Eugênio Prati.
