Local cafe - the baked goods case

Note to self: NO DANCING ON CONCRETE IN BARE FEET. This is the result of my dancing around to "Ice Ice Baby" and "Can't Touch This" and becoming the legend of the crawfish boil (when 200+ people all are fixated on your dancing you can't let them down!). I'm hobbling around for the next few days; it looks worse than it feels (but I did have to peel away some of the dead skin so now there's big red expanses of skin that I've got bandaged up.

I keep changing my kit a bit so this is a drawing I did in August of the kit plus recent additions plus a Pentel Brush pen that I haven't used yet (as you can see). Yes I am a kit junky.

I was giving someone basic photography lessons, and at one point I was talking about how I never ask children to smile for pictures. If they smile, cool, but if they aren't smiling, the picture can still be beautiful. Then we glanced over to see our kids interacting, having a sweet moment together in the pretty light from the window.

I took them to test a D600 that we have borrowed for review.

In preparation for the ship's presentation of "Dancing With the Stars at Sea", they offered dance lessons in the Samba, Salsa and Jive. Then each of the ship's professional dancers chose one of the best of the passengers to be their partner for the competition. Glenn and one of the ladies at our dinner table paired up to try their hands (or should I say feet) in learning the Samba. They had fun, but neither progressed to the next round.

I used an HP pencil and took about ten minutes or so. I think his body is very weird shaped... O.O

This lady also taught Carie how to swim when she was around this age, maybe a bit older. She gave lessons at a pool at a motel.

My wife and I recently enrolled our kids in swimming lessons at the Bayside Swimming Club. The instructors there were fantastic and did excellent work with both kids. My daughter is especially confident in her swimming abilities now and my son, who was indifferent toward the idea of taking swimming lessons, now wants to go back for more.

These are my assignments for # Lesson 1. Trying for the good line In ink is very challenging for me. And I had a 5 year old grandchild in my lap while drawing his water bottle. But it was fun to try.

I am glad I made a grid of my watercolor pencils. I've been meaning to do that since I got the two months ago.
