This exercise helped me to see the edges defined by shape and color. My main struggle was simplifying the shapes. Next time I would force myself not to shade within a shape. Buy, that takes discipline :-)

My first week back at the pen was rather uneventful (thank goodness), but i still find my mind wandering to my "Blissful Place by the Sea". I have decided that this shall be Lesson Two, from Sandy Gingras' little book "How to Live at the Beach".
