I like these Sonia lens cap boxes. They are so retro although they are brand new!

I went for a jolly nice coffee on the first day of February. I took a photograph to celebrate.

If I can't find my camera goodies, after checking the bag[s] I check my bathroom. They ALWAYS end up there. I end up going into my bathroom washing my face/using the toilet when I get home, in the end taking out my camera goodies out of my pocket.

----

Curious why the blurriness? Because I have a panic attack when I can't find things right away. I fear they are gone "forever". All goodies not included, bag, laptop and other things could have been easily put in this photograph.

Had a very busy day today so I had to get creative at home.

Black lens cap on black glass surface

Pinhole Lenscap, I like the effect but I'm not a fan of the vignette.

This photo was costly - nearly very costly - I dropped my lens cap into the water - I very nearly over-reached to catch it as it disappeared into oblivion - it's a black Pentax lenscap - if anyone finds it can they get in touch...

Ez lett volna az eddigi legjobb, legtökéletesebb képem, ha nem felejetem az objektíven a sapkát...

even if just for a sevenfiftieth of a second ;-)

A much better shot of it! I wonder why some people think the paint job on this lens is kinda of "cheesy", I like the feeling it has, although it worries me that it will peel off.

So I have decided to start doing this project again. I have been doing the 365 days project where I take a picture of my self every day. I am going to start this project up again where I take a picture, of anything every day for a year. I mostly do macros of stuff around the house, sometimes I do food, sometimes I get outside and take landscapes or whatnot. I just would like to start taking pictures of stuff other than myself.

Anyway today I finally purchased a new lenscap for my 24-70 f2.8L lens. I got that lens from the government without any caps so I finally broke down and got one. I shot this with my 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 is lens with a stepdown filter ring to 58mm and then I used a 10x macro filter lens. I shot this with my 430 exii flash, ev -2 in camera ev 0 on flash. f10.

Friendly dogs welcome...

A LensCap Rally at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. The LensCap Rally is a day out with a Professional Photographer. There are set tasks and afterwards you can upload your photos to the site and have everyone comment on them. Its a great way to get out for the day, shoot loads of pics at interesting locations and meet other photo-mad people.

More booties for preemies. I put a 52mm lens cap next to them to show just how small they are. I have been making them to donate to NICU's.

They are about 2.25 inches x 1.25 inches.

Ever since first seeing this lens featured on Kickstarter, I have wanted to get a copy to play with. The idea intrigued me - a full-frame, fixed focal length, fixed focus, fixed aperture lens at a cheap price.

It's taken a long time, but I have finally got my hands on one to play with, and I have to say, first impressions are mixed. There will be many styles of photography that suit this lens, but it exhibits pretty heavy vignetting, which limits its use somewhat. Despite this, I have been pretty happy with the experience so far.
