Today I got prepared for my best shot ever. The setup was just perfect.Softboxes, ambient light, reflection and a bit bokeh of course...The pose was awesome, than I pushed the remote and it was done...But what??!! ohh, damn...I forgot the lens cap on!
Sorry guys I was really undermotivated...At the final sumnation it's gonna be one missed day..:S

The Lauritzen Gardens as seen through the BCL-0980 Fisheye Lenscap 9mm Lens with a fixed aperture of f/8.0.
Built a light box from cardboard box, poster board, cut up t-shirt for diffusers on top and sides, two lamps with 60w daylight bulbs and two desk lamps from Wal-mart.

The Tamper Trap - sweet disposition
Took this one last night when I was out for some drinks after work to celebrate some things.
I think the people who had the table before us were a bit unhappy with their food and left the sign pointing at one of the meals.
The Lauritzen Gardens as seen through the BCL-0980 Fisheye Lenscap 9mm Lens with a fixed aperture of f/8.0.
Ever since first seeing this lens featured on Kickstarter, I have wanted to get a copy to play with. The idea intrigued me - a full-frame, fixed focal length, fixed focus, fixed aperture lens at a cheap price.
It's taken a long time, but I have finally got my hands on one to play with, and I have to say, first impressions are mixed. There will be many styles of photography that suit this lens, but it exhibits pretty heavy vignetting, which limits its use somewhat. Despite this, I have been pretty happy with the experience so far.
I'm so freakishly happy, my first ever dSLR, I'm not sure if I want to break in to song or jump of a cliff, really. :D :D
April 8, 2008 - Day 68; Having so much fun & expressing my creativity with my Canon SLR. Everything looks like a photo op when you have a camera with you at all times.
I haven't lost one yet !
If I can't find my camera goodies, after checking the bag[s] I check my bathroom. They ALWAYS end up there. I end up going into my bathroom washing my face/using the toilet when I get home, in the end taking out my camera goodies out of my pocket.

Curious why the blurriness? Because I have a panic attack when I can't find things right away. I fear they are gone "forever". All goodies not included, bag, laptop and other things could have been easily put in this photograph.

It's amazing some times the clutter that appears on my desk.
Every morning I throw keys, sunglasses, iPods (a mini converted to 32GB) and it joins the detritus from the last day.
An email that was so important yesterday that I printed it out now leans against the Bobblehead War Machine....an wired Apple mouse has been discarded for a new Magic Mouse.

so, I saw this self-made, chaotic-inspired still life and wanted to shoot f/1.7.
Sounds like something I would do.
A still life is a self portrait in many respects.
