Maryland Midland GP38-3 2060 was inching up to the last car of outbound train UBHF in Union Bridge.
Soon, the Pride of the MMID would be helping push the heavy train out of town and uphill to Highfield.
It was a glorious sight and sound.
A dreary and dismal day yielded a bright unit lending a hand. When the original leader of Q149 suffered a mechanical failure just west of Schoolcraft, MI, BNSF 9728 was sent to fill in as a new lead unit. Here, the monster train is cruising west thru the town of Kingsbury, IN on the South Bend Sub.

I missed a week! Well... just forgot to upload. This will be one of two uploads, now till Saturday. I will revisit this concept at a later date.. it didn't turn out like I imagined but I still like it. Still experimenting and trying to develop a style of my own. Started watching a new tv show on HBO called "The Leftovers". Anybody else check that out?? I'm excited to see where the story is going.

August humidity is thick in the air as NS 8868 pushes on the back of another loaded coal train along side the "Ho Chi Minh Trail."

At Scindia ghat along the Ganges in Varanasi (Benaras) stand pillars submerged in the holy waters which are the remains of a huge palace which sunken in the beginning of the 20th century.
During summer when the waters are low they become great platforms for divers who enjoy to dry under the sun at sunrise...

Lendal Bridge
I took this photo on a day off where I made friends with a French backpacker and spent the day showing her the sights of the city.
With the middle unit dead it tow, SOO GP38-2 #4412 lends its 2000 hp. to move train #281 as it departs Bensenville.
A view looking north towards Lendal Bridge on the River Ouse in York with a number of City Cruises vessels moored close to the bridge.
This is a scene I painted in watercolor on Arches paper (20 x 30 inches) of an actual incident that occured during WWII when this Lend-Lease (to USSR) P-39 Airacobra was being ferried to Alaska from Great Falls, Montana. The pilot, Lt. Delos Carpenter became lost and low on fuel and chose to belly-land the P-39 onto the ice of a lake in Canada's NW Territories, a short distance from the Yukon boundary. The airplane broke through the thin ice but did not sink and Carpenter, as day was fading, unscrewed the aircraft's nose panel and made a makeshift sled to haul some gear to shore where he made camp. Rescue came a couple of days later. December 6, 1943
Lending his considerable talent to the 2015 NCFBS Women in Blues Concert
This live performance shot was recorded and lit using a single Yongnuo YN560 III controlled by a Yongnuo YN560-TX.
The "key/rim" flash was off to the right of the frame and slightly behind the subject about 20' from the subject and 15' above the floor.
This capture is illuminated almost entirely by off camera flashes and their reflections.
