Its not the best and not quite what I originally envisioned, but it suits his messy hobo look, haha. I wish it was blonder, it IS dark blond in person but in pictures it has a reddish look, making it look like its strawberry blond instead of just regular blond, d'oh!
On voyait, parait-il avant la révolution, sur la porte du château des Hayes, l’empreinte de deux fers à cheval. Voici comment les anciens expliquaient ce fait :
Un seigneur des Hayes, la rage et les désespoir au coeur, sortait un jour à cheval de l’antique manoir qu’il venait de perdre au jeu. En franchissant le pont-levis, il détourna sa monture en criant : « Adieu, château des hayes, je ne te verrai plus… »
Or, retournée fort brusquement, la noble bête, en se cabrant, avait appuyé si fortement ses pieds sur la vieille porte de chêne que ses fers s’y trouvèrent imprimés.

I got my LLT Neil today! The sculpt is beautiful, though manlier in person than I was expecting! The neck hole is HUGE, particularly on the inside, which makes me hope that the neck hook in the body I got for it will be big enough (I ordered a dollshe Arsene to use the body, god knows when it will arrive, lol.)
I put the head on my 5th Motif Venitu body, and, though LLT suggested using this body for the head, I find the neck MUCH too long for it, and it has very limited mobility (can't really tilt side to side.) It just looks very awkward to me, but if someone was willing to sand down the neck, it would be okay.
The eyes I have in him are cheapo 12mm glass eyes. There is a bit of gapping because they are round, but I think a flatter backed 12mm eye with small irises will look really good (and are what I plan to get as soon as dollbakery has some either in stock or does a preorder, lol.)

Créées en 1866 par les frères Violet, les Caves Byrrh sont le berceau historique de l’emblématique apéritif. Toujours installées à Thuir, elles abritent la plus grande cuve en chêne du monde (1,2 million de litres !), ainsi qu’un patrimoine industriel et culturel impressionnant.
L’exposition propose une visite immersive entre affiches d’époque (1903), parcours interactif et récits familiaux — un voyage dans l’ambition d’un nom devenu légende.

I got my LLT Neil today! The sculpt is beautiful, though manlier in person than I was expecting! The neck hole is HUGE, particularly on the inside, which makes me hope that the neck hook in the body I got for it will be big enough (I ordered a dollshe Arsene to use the body, god knows when it will arrive, lol.)
I put the head on my 5th Motif Venitu body, and, though LLT suggested using this body for the head, I find the neck MUCH too long for it, and it has very limited mobility (can't really tilt side to side.) It just looks very awkward to me, but if someone was willing to sand down the neck, it would be okay.

I had some almost blondish alpaca hair laying around so I draped it over Gideon's head to see how he'd look with hair. Very much the look I'll be going for, except maybe shorter, and hopefully a lighter shade of blond. I was worried he wouldn't be expressive enough, but taking shots of him at different angles proved me wrong. Very pleased :D

As-tu vu, pecheur, la fille de la mer,
peignant ses cheveux blonds dores
au grand soleil sur le bord de l'eau ?
J'ai vu la blanche fille de la mer,
je l'ai meme entendu chanter,
plaintifs etaient l'air et la chanson.
Il existait autrefois une ville dans la baie de Douarnenez gouvernée par un roi appelé
Roi Gradlon.En ce temps là, Gradlon le Grand fit construire pour sa fille Dahut la
merveilleuse cité d'Ys. Elevée plus bas que la mer, Ys en était
protégée par une puissante digue. Une écluse fermait le port et seul Gradlon pouvait
décider de son ouverture ou fermeture, permettant ainsi aux habitants d'aller pêcher.
La terrible et jeune Dahut, profondément attachée au culte des anciens dieux celtiques,
accusait Corentin, évêque de Quimper, d'avoir rendu la ville triste et ennuyeuse.
Elle rêvait d'une cité où seules règneraient richesse, liberté et joie de vivre.
Cette ville était fermée tous les soirs par le roi à double tour.
Aussi Dahut donna-t-elle à la ville un dragon qui s'empara de tous les navires marchands.
Ainsi, la ville d'Ys devint la plus riche et la plus puissante de toutes les cités
de Bretagne. Dahut y régnait en maîtresse absolue, gardienne de l'ancienne religion
des Celtes. Chaque soir, elle faisait venir un nouvel amant au palais, l'obligeant à
porter un masque de soie. Mais le masque était enchanté et, à l'aube, il se transformait
en griffes de métal, tuant ainsi ses amants dont le corps était jeté du haut d'une
falaise dans l'océan.
Un beau matin, un prince, tout de rouge vêtu, arriva dans la cité. Dahut tomba aussitôt
amoureuse de l'étranger. Or, c'était le diable que Dieu envoyait pour châtier la ville
pécheresse. Par amour pour lui, elle lui donna la clé de l'écluse qu'elle déroba à son
père pendant son sommeil. Le prince ouvrit l'écluse et l'océan en furie envahit la ville
en déferlant dans les rues et étouffant ainsi les cris d'horreur des habitants
Seul, le roi Gradlon réussit à s'échapper de cet enfer avec l'aide de saint Gwenolé.
Sur son cheval marin, il se mit à chevaucher péniblement dans les vagues, alourdi par
un poids qui n'était autre que sa fille. Sommé par saint Gwenolé, il abandonna sa fille
et parvint à regagner le rivage.
Certains racontent que Dahut, apres sa mort, devint une sirene,appelée Marie Morgane,
elle apparait aux pecheurs les soirs de lune, peignant sa longue chevelure d'or. Ils
disent aussi que par temps tres calme on peut entendre sonner les cloches de la cite
disparue.
