Because staring at a headless body can be kinda weird, I tried some heads on it.
Because the shoulders are prettywide (19cm) and the neck circumference is large as well (13cm) I didn't even bother with my smaller heads, I directly went with my biggest noggins :p Ans even then the results are so-so without a wig or a neck mod...

Equestrian vaulting performances at "La Legende des Chevaliers". Some of the acrobatic tricks performed, mostly while ryding a horse, are very spectacular.

La Legende des Chevaliers - a very spectacular mostly equestrian show with lots of acrobatic horse rides, medieval armor, weapons and kids friendly fights and most of all lots of humour. They perform a medieval type fantasy story about some brave knights and dames and some nasty orcs. Kids just love it!

La pleine lune
Les ombres s'allongeaient, la pénombre s'épaississait, le colporteur n'était toujours pas arrivé . On était en hiver, et cet hiver là était bien froid . En été, sauf par temps de pluie, et encore trouvait-il toujours à s'abriter, dormir à la belle étoile était son quotidien . Mais là il aspirait à une soupe chaude, puis à un coin de foin dans une crèche . Ça faisait déjà un bon moment qu'il avait réalisé qu'il s'était perdu et voilà qu'il repassait devant le même menhir, pour la troisième fois ! Comment pouvait-il ainsi cheminer en cercle ? Pouquoi ne rencontrait-il personne ? Qu'étaient devenues les maisons où il avait sa chalandise ? Il ne comprenait pas, il était désemparé . Et pourtant il l'avait déjà parcouru ce chemin, de Kergwen à Kerdu ! Et voilà, il faisait nuit . La pleine lune au travers des nuages jetait d'épaisses ombres bleues sur la lande . Quelques flaques de lumière animées par les nuées étaient comme danse d'esprits . Et puis … Un grincement de roues … Il croyait aux intersignes … « L'Ankou ! » se dit-il, gelé de terreur . Mais ?
Il vit soudain son salut en la personne d'un jeune homme adossé à un rocher . « Dieu du ciel, je suis bien aise de vous avoir rencontré Monsieur . Pouvez-vous m'indiquer le chemin de Kerdu ? » « Bien volontier mon bon Monsieur, je m'y rendais justement, suivez-moi » « Grand merci ! » Que n'avait-il pas fait ce malheureux ! La providentielle rencontre n'était que le « garçon des landes », celui qui vous emmène à la tombée de la nuit au milieu d'une tourbière et vous plante là ! Jamais nul ne revit le colporteur . L'Ankou rodait bien dans le coin, maraudeur sans doute en manque d'âme à emporter ce jour là .
Certaines nuits de pleine lune quelqu'ivrogne attardé dit avoir rencontré un colporteur sur le court et droit chemin de Kergwen à Kerdu . Parole d'ivrogne …

I got my LLT Neil today! The sculpt is beautiful, though manlier in person than I was expecting! The neck hole is HUGE, particularly on the inside, which makes me hope that the neck hook in the body I got for it will be big enough (I ordered a dollshe Arsene to use the body, god knows when it will arrive, lol.)
I put the head on my 5th Motif Venitu body, and, though LLT suggested using this body for the head, I find the neck MUCH too long for it, and it has very limited mobility (can't really tilt side to side.) It just looks very awkward to me, but if someone was willing to sand down the neck, it would be okay.
The eyes I have in him are cheapo 12mm glass eyes. There is a bit of gapping because they are round, but I think a flatter backed 12mm eye with small irises will look really good (and are what I plan to get as soon as dollbakery has some either in stock or does a preorder, lol.)

I had some almost blondish alpaca hair laying around so I draped it over Gideon's head to see how he'd look with hair. Very much the look I'll be going for, except maybe shorter, and hopefully a lighter shade of blond. I was worried he wouldn't be expressive enough, but taking shots of him at different angles proved me wrong. Very pleased :D
He's still got more work to do, but Gideon (Giddy) is coming along nicely. I haven't painted a doll since October, so its nice to find that I'm not too rusty. It helps that this sculpt is sooooooo beautiful. Julia is so immensely talented, not only with her sculpting, but she is a big influence with my faceups, I admire her skills so much!
Its not the best and not quite what I originally envisioned, but it suits his messy hobo look, haha. I wish it was blonder, it IS dark blond in person but in pictures it has a reddish look, making it look like its strawberry blond instead of just regular blond, d'oh!

He got his AkagiDoll body stolen, but I remembered that LLT 2012 WS wan a nice match to DollShe's Freshskin so I tried him on my DollShe 35s body...
And now I have at least 3 heads on this body and I can't even buy another one because it's discontinued, FFF-
Oh well. That thin, lanky body is way better for the character than the Akagi body and its crazy lats xD
I was even considering changing the mold for this character since I feared that the Roderich head looked too young (especially since it looked kinda out of place on that body), but now, with that body and that tired and cold looking faceup and small eyes, it feels way better :D
I tried the tooth brush paint splashes technique again for skin texture, and I feel like I did it better than for Dauber...
... Except for the part where I ended up texturing the whole face darker than the body orz.
