I also walked around UCSB (University of California at Santa Barbara). When I look at a university or college, I look at their overall campus and library. I was underwhelemd by the UCSB library - much of it seemed old fashioned and out of date.
Especially in this day and age, extensive collections of outdated and probably never used books and micro fiche/film do not represent a place of learning to me.
Learning is like climbing a flight of steps, the higher you climb, the better vantage point you see, the more knowledge you gain.

The little female pup is spoken for when they can get out here to get her. She is the one that is not afraid to get out and wonder all over. I just hope nothing happens to her before they can come out for her. The male stays closer to the dog house and is quick to run for it at times. He has a healthy fear of the unknown. They are both learning that hands bring good feelings.
