The project appeals to the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective.
Cognitive: The students must come up with solutions or investigate solutions already in effect based on the research they gather in the field or from the internet and literature.
Psychomotor: The students have the opportunity to work with the subjects they're photographing (positioning themselves for that great shot or using the technology while moving for example.)
Affective: The students are selecting projects that are meaningful for them.
* Students should be allowed to also incorporate their own graphic representations.

Aga Khan Centre - Islamic Gardens at King's Cross
Aga Khan Centre (AKC) in King's Cross has six Islamic Gardens showcasing the diversity of Muslim cultures while celebrating classic Islamic garden design. They form part of a conceptual ribbon pathway of Islamic-inspired gardens in this area. There are two more at Victoria Hall and two in the public realm; Lewis Cubitt Square and Jellicoe Gardens. The AKC gardens range from contemplative courtyards inspired by Andalusia and loggias inspired by the Middle East, to rooftop spaces inspired by South and Central Asia. The centre is home to the Aga Khan Foundation UK, Aga Khan University - Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations, and The Institute of Ismaili Studies - all founded by His Highness the Aga Khan.

My daughter has been getting horrible grades in spelling until I started doing this. I create these crazy flash cards in photoshop, and then use them as the screen saver on our computer.
I get the spelling words in advance, and open photoshop, and just start google- image searching. I look for on tipoc pics, but also I keep the letters in mind that she cannot remember. I look for images that recall or could recall those letters' shapes, as well as reinforce the meaning of the word- a mountain replaces the letter 'a' in "peak" for example.
another strategy is that I interfere with the letter that she cannot recall- this week I have some one "stealing" the letter 'a' from the word 'steal', another week a baby bit off the corner of the letter 'w' from 'chew'.
The best spellers are visual. She is visual. I am trying to cement these connections in her head.
She has gone from failing to getting a's and a pluses last year. THis year she was getting C's and I'm waiting to get out first 'post-visual' test back.

As part of the school extra-curriculum activities, Phin Ngan primary school students get to learn embroidery from a Dzao ethnic craftswoman. Oxfam's project supports such activities to get children feel more engaged with the school life. Training young students about traditional craft also helps to preserve the rich ethnic cultures.

This photo is taken from our front door and shows a large entry way--space that we are wasting currently. We just bought this dresser and painted it and it is empty. To the left is the family room, to the right is the dining room so it is a walk through space. I feel like this has potential but not sure what to do with it...
