Time to replenish the birthday-card stash around here! The January #PapertreyInk release is full of birthday inspiration, and my eye completely stopped on this card by DT member Lizzie Jones: www.pinterest.com/pin/49680402125248446/ . Though I have zero of those supplies I knew I could make it my own! And finally I was able to use some paper from the Hooray Birthday patterned paper pack, which I bought ... last year and was still wrapped up.

I pulled out the sweet Candles 'n Confetti by #ReverseConfetti. I adore this birthday cake set! Everything is die-cut out of PTI's stamper's select white and colored with PTI inks: the birthday cake is sponged in Lemon Tart with sprinkles stamped in Summer Sunrise. The candles are Hawaiian Shores with flames sponged in Bright Buttercup and outlines in Harvest Gold. There's a touch of Wink of Stella on the flames to give them a little sparkle. The tiny flowers are Hibiscus Burst with leaves of Green Parakeet. The cake and stand is layered on a piece of PTI's dotted vellum which was cut with a spellbinder's circle die. The cards are layered on bases of Hibiscus Burst and Aqua Mist.

Once I got all my supplies together, these were 15-minute cards. And now I've got a couple ready to send!

The recipe said to use three 9" cake pans. Mine were 8 1/4 " so maybe the layers ended up a bit on the tall side. . .but who's complaining. Each layer covered in caramel here.
