This is a picture of a decaying Saguaro Not the wooden "SLATS" that run up the inside to give the cactus stability. Thes were used by ancient desert dwellers for construction.

As I've described in my Flickr profile page (www.flickr.com/people/99244229@N04/), I had an opportunity to be back in full make-up and out in public en femme not long ago. This pic is the 134th in my 2019 series of fully made-up en femme activity, and it comes from August 28.
This pic was taken inside a ladies dressing room at my local Macy's, where I like to use their multiple mirrors.
As usual, I really enjoy color-coordinating attractive/sexy/cute outfits, and this one features:
* a Sepia Collection "Broadway" long layered curly frosted golden blonde wig with bangs, from Wig Factory in SF;
* OnlyMaker yellow faux-suede lace-up 6.2"-stiletto-heel 2"-platform ankle-high shooties, from amazon;
* a Trixxi mustard floral-print sleeveless crisscross-straps-v-veck ruffle-popover culotte-legs juniors jumpsuit, from Macy's;
* a mustard draped-lapels open-front cardigan, from Forever 21;
* an INC yellow polyester sheer scarf with printed botanicals/florals & tassels, from Macy's;
* a yellow 3"-wide waist belt, from BeltIsCool.com;
* tan wide-net fishnet tights;
* a gold anklets set, from Forever 21;
* yellow & gold necklaces and bracelets;
* gold rings & earrings; and
* gold/clear "ear cuffs" (long dangling jewelry cuffed to the sides of the ears), from Forever 21.
More about this and other 2017-19 pics has been written up in my profile or "About" page here on Flickr. It details some choices made for these 2017-19 pics.

Last card and then I'll be busy working on my Hero Arts win a day projects!
Wow, cutting that out was a real chore...
It's a gorgeous day in the city today. There was a buzz in the air the Outdoor Warning System's weekly test sounded the arrival of the lunch hour.
I was fortunate enough to have some free time on this trip and got out to walk around and to enjoy the warm sunshine and flow of pedestrian traffic in the Financial District.
I've been taking fewer street shots lately as I experiment and play with landscape photography (not terribly well, I admit). Today's lunch hour showed me and reminded me of everything I love about street photography: being out in the world, seeing what's happening for the thousands of people I pass by, identifying something fun, different or pleasing to the eye and capturing it just as the players in my imagined scene are in the correct position, looking the correct direction, on their marks as I envision them.
This image might have worked in color, but I was concerned that the reds of the planted flowers and of the Wells Fargo sign and the bright greens of the shrubs would distract the viewer from the people in the shot.
