A blend of old and new

South Brisbane Railway Station reflected across the glass of a modern building. Heritage brickwork and contemporary architecture merge in a single frame, creating a layered glimpse into the city’s evolving story.

I must admit that I found it quite difficult to get my normal style of shot form Crete, partly due to much of the coastline being fenced off (presumably to keep us pesky tourists in our place and not disrupting too much of the natural coastline!). While I was out one morning I spotted the hills in the distance catching the morning sunshine which produced some beautiful layers.

I also like this photo, because the hills are kind of ordered with tree in between, which makes some kinds of layers... The mountain in the background is also adding much to the photo.

Another crazy day in the office, which was good because the day went by very quickly; at this rate it will seem as though no time has passed and the weekend will be upon us once again.

Went and did groceries after work so that's a plus; always a good thing to have food in the house.

I was feeling a bit lazy when I got home though; so just a quick macro today and maybe I'll find some motivation to shoot something a little different tomorrow... maybe.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

The spring arrived and the summer came too. Now autumn is here. Thrilled over the birdlife I have experienced this year. I've many pictures just waiting to be viewed, and I hope I'll have more time for photography again soon :) Looking forward to see your autumn images here on Flickr!

A view to the Lauezer See from atop Hoch Ybrig

Up early this morning on Amberley mount and intended to photograph the other side of the Downs towards North Stoke .There were some beautiful mist banks in the Arun valley and north of the Downs which diverted my attention for understandable reasons. Two lovely hours of solitude, nature and visual pleasure - a great way to start the day.

It dose not take long for conditions to change. When I saw what looked like a promising sky from home I thought lets give it a go but in my twenty minute walk to the beach the sky had other ideas.

Like a bank of cloud rising from The West to envelope what sun there was, but, all was not lost, I had this wonderful sky full of layers of clouds in various shades of blue to yellow.

The beautiful mountain regions of Northern India are shadowed by the vast peaks of the Himalayas and carpeted with lush blankets of dense green forests. The landscapes are so beautiful and one can't have enough of it..
