This is the latest project we have done in the yard this past week. I got the Japanese Maple on the right for my birthday last year and we created the planting bed that was empty until this year. I finally found a birdbath I like this spring and then found plants I like. This bed is visible from our dining room, screened porch and deck so I wanted to find some special plants. I also wanted it to be interesting year round. This view is from the deck.

I would like to present one of my latest projects which has been on and off for some time, Thorgir the Forgeworld Venerable Dreadnought painted for my Space Wolves army. Firstly I would like to add that this dreadnought would not have turned out the way it was without the influences of the Dreadnought done by Wiltrichs, the work by Brandon Griffith which I got the dynamic arm ideas from and also the work of Kim Syberg from White Dwarf 185 which I took the idea from the banner that he did for his Wolf Guard Ranulf.
I named him Thorgir after doing some research on Norse and Viking names and I imagined him to be a close friend of Russ and was one of his right hand men. The weapon arms are all magnetized using rare earth magnets so are easily swappable in the event I ever decide to actually play.
The colours were from the Space Wolf tutorial in the new eavy metal masterclass book,, but they also feature in one of the old White Dwarfs.
Maggie Weston E-Frame. Part of the amazing Exo Squad line of toys from Playmates. I love getting an older sealed toy and freeing it from the box. I had a lot of fun assembling it and putting the decals on. A flood of memories came back to me.
I have two spreads in the latest issue of Premier Guitar. Here's a shot of Johnny Marr with "one of his completely stock signature Fender Jaguars, which feature standout appointments like a custom-shaped neck based on his '65 Jag, and a pair of custom-wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr single-coils".

With latest talk of fashions seen on the Emmy Awards walkway, which I did not watch as I'm never impressed as compared to fashions of the 1950's.
With that in mind, here is a photo of the actresses starring in one of my favorite movies, "The Opposite Sex." We have
June Allyson, Joan Collins, Dolores Gray, Ann Sheridan, Ann Miller, Joan Blondell all portrayed in beautiful dresses. For me it was Dolores Gray in that fantastic dress she wore, the way she moved, her hair, her makeup... I became a fan of Dolores Gray.
Of all this talk on how expensive gowns worn at recent Emmy Awards, I think if any wore one of these, now that would be impressive.
June Allyson plays the virtuous wife who loses her husband to scheming gold digger Joan Collins (seen here in her pre-"Dynasty"). Girls use their claws without ruining their manicures! Lower Slaughter is a village in the English county of Gloucestershire, located in the Cotswold district, 4 miles (6.4 km) south west of the town of Stow-on-the-Wold. The village is built on both banks of the River Eye, which also flows through Upper Slaughter. At the west end of the village there is a 19th-century water mill with an undershot waterwheel and a chimney for additional steam power. There is a ford where the river widens in the village and several small stone footbridges join the two sides of the community. While the mill is built of red brick most of the 16th and 17th century homes in the village use Cotswold sandstone and are adorned with mullioned windows and often with other embellishments such as projecting gables. Records exist showing that Lower Slaughter has been inhabited for over 1000 years. The Domesday Book entry has the village name as “Sclostre”. It further notes that in 1066 and 1086 that the manor was in the sheriff's hands. Lower Slaughter Manor, a Grade-II listed 17th-century house, was granted to Sir George Whitmore in 1611 and remained in his family until 1964. The 13th century Anglican parish church is dedicated to St. Mary the Virgin. Much of the current structure was built in 1866; however, the spire and peal of six bells was recently restored. In May 2013 it was reported in the national news that the Parish Council were fiercely opposed to the presence of an icebox tricycle selling ice creams for seven days a week, six months of the year, citing that the trading times were excessive, increased footfall would prevent the grass from growing and that children could climb on the trike and fall into the nearby river.

15) Plan your free time so that you burn fat and have fun at the same time: outdoor trekking instead of sightseeing with the double-decker bus; historical city walks instead of the pub. Or do both together. By the way: even wandering through large museums consumes calories.
16) Mental training. The more we imagine something, the more we work unconsciously to achieve it. Therefore, imagine your body as you would like it to be. This will keep you focused on the goal, and the individual methods of achieving it will soon be self-evident.
So train useful habits and stop harmful habits. It takes some time, but it is very effective. For example, if you’ve gotten into the habit of drinking a gallon of coke and eating a pack of chips in the evenings, go for Coke Zero and pretzel sticks, or spritzers and apple chips.

21) If you buy less often, then you are better protected against spontaneous purchases in the supermarket.
22) Eat at regular times, then notice quickly if you carelessly stuff calories into yourself.
23) Do not take over. An old rule. The more we eat, the more calories we give ourselves. Therefore, refrain from filling the plate two or three times.
24) In the restaurant, you refrain from sugar-rich desserts and give preference to low-calorie fish or poultry dishes over pork and lamb.
25) Do not store fatteners at home. Keep chips and chocolate under lock and key.
26) Brush your teeth more often, because that dampens your appetite.
