What was the smartest looking Olympia liveried bus in the fleet. 69356 had been the last Olympia repaint in May 2018 but has now undergone repaint into the new Aberdeen livery ahead of much shabbier Olympia repaints that date back to 2012. This may suggest the older Olympia repainted B7RLEs are coming off the road when the next batch of StreetDecks arrive as has been rumoured.

69356 re-entered service on the 20th October and is seen here two days later on the 3A on Market St.

WIP from my latest chikaz project ;)

more info very soon!

I finally finished my latest project - creating a silk robe for my Hommes from two silk ties. There is just about enough fabric in two ties to make this. It was tricky to make because the fabric is slippery, frays easily and is on a double bias. I am really pleased with how it turned out. Step by step and 'how to' photos are on my Doll Diva creations stream. I was inspired by the Fall 2019 Dolce & Gabbana menswear creations.

So when it came to choosing the model... who else but Lukas?!

Designed by me for Lucy and Company.

My latest official model.

The LEGO Land Rover Defender was developed with Land Rover to get the details as close as possible to the real thing. The chassis carries three differentials and an independent suspension, as well as a working winch at the front of the vehicle. The model has opening doors, working steering wheel and a detailed dashboard. The new transmission system has two levers for changing gears and “LEGO Technic’s most sophisticated gearbox yet.”

The model’s rear seat can also fold forward to expose the four-speed sequential gearbox. The hood of the vehicle also opens to show the six cylinder engine with moving pistons. The model measures over 8.6 in/22 cm high, 16.5 in/42 cm long and 7.8 in/20 cm wide.

The latest E500 to re-enter service following repaint is 38213, latterly unbranded in Olympia. Sister 38205 has already been done and is ready for return from Caledonia.

38213 is seen here on Union Street on the Bridges 1 for Garthdee.

This latest addition to Reveniens' lineup of all-original frames clearly seems to have been designed with the intent of challenging PFi's Mobile Core Mini series for it's place as the King of the Goodfellow Cluster's mid-sized frame market. Standing slightly taller than a typical MCS-m, the Kindeva boasts a comparable power/weight ratio with enhanced articulation achieved through a combination of tried-and-true techniques and next-gen hardware.

It's obvious that the engineering team at Reveniens has been learning from the experiences gained during the Yaksha and Apsara projects, and incorporated elements of both into this new model. The Kindeva walks a fine line between "cutting edge" and "throw-back" that's making a lot of buzz in the MF journals.

The only question left is whether they'll be able to produce enough units to supply the demand from more customers than just the Etton Conglomerate.

Finally got it together and made a showcase for this one, previously seen as part of my Pontefract Squadron. Actually, I made and posed all of these variants first, but I've been putting off rendering them for some reason that I can't remember. Frame Arms enthusiasts might notice something familiar about these.

"Kindeva", like the names for most Reveniens frames, refers to a class of beings from Hindu mythology - these known for having aspects of humans (Kin) and gods/spirits (Deva). I think it's fair to compare them to demi-gods, though someone more learned than I may disagree.

In a lot of ways this is a remake of my MCS-m with less dependence on mixel joints (only used in the waist). The primary design philosophy was the same, anyway - small, highly articulated, and easily customizable. In another way, it's a muligan of the Apsara, so maybe I don't really know what it is, other than a test-bed for "padlock plate" joints. I really wish TLG would release rounded off versions of both clip-plates as well. The extra angle of adjustment is pretty magical.

What do you think? Does Reveniens have a contender here, or will PFi maintain market dominance?

The latest graduate of Metra's F40PH overhaul and repainting program is number 180, the 'Village of Bensenville'. Here it leads a Beverly Branch local across the St Charles Air Line and CN diamonds at 16th Street Tower on a cold day filled with occasional bursts of snow flurries.

My latest gallery wrap. This one is from McKenna Pro. I got a special offer email from them a week or so ago. Before that, I had never even heard of them before. So I was skeptical giving them a try. But I figure why not. So I placed my order for a nice big one....20x30. Let me just say...they did not disappoint. I was impressed with everything from the packaging, to the quality. The quality of the wrapped edges were top notch. Better than both Pixel2Canvas and WHCC in my opinion. The backing was done really well. Real quality craftsmanship. Texture was really good and color was spot on with the digital file I submitted. They use ROES system like WHCC which makes it so easy to order and also to see exactly what the canvas will look like. Until Pixel2Canvas offers ordering through ROES, I probably won't be ordering through them anymore.

Final thoughts...overall picture quality and craftsmanship, I'd have to put them ahead of both P2C and WHCC. I'll let you know if that assessment stands after I order a 2nd one from them. But for now, I would highly recommend them.
