Feeling a little better yesterday I changed from my denim skirt and top to my latest Lindy Bop purchase. I seem to attract them every where I go and even when I bought this dress there were 2 more that I could have bought in my size. This is a different style to the others that I have and is what I think is called a Tea dress. It’s lined and not full but does benefit from a nice neckline, lovely material and a pretty print pattern. I am wearing it with grey suede wedges, black hose and a nice cardigan. The dog looks stunned by my beauty! Lol

I haven't been out thrifting much but the last time I was I found this Le Creuset kettle for 2.99. Came with the whistle but I can't stand them so it's in a drawer until I'm ready to pass this on. In Explore Dec 26-08
Alas the bottom rusted out badly as I am too lazy to empty every time I boil water-now replaced with a vintage stainless coffeepot.

In my brother’s latest photo www.flickr.com/photos/tdanneman/8317925995/in/photostream, he wanted to be at Trout Creek with a beer. I’ll second that, and add that the scenery, trains, and fellowship of a Montana trip is priceless. You can put me here too, with a fishing rod; and just make sure the cooler full of icy Big Sky products is with me on my side of Frog Pond…

There's so much wrong with the latest addition to my fleet. The model is a SP caboose, not the CNW one. The font is supposed to be serif, not sans serif. There's no MOW designation to the left of the bay. Despite those problems this humble model does a good job of reminding me of the classic CNW waycar still roaming the Kenosha Sub: www.flickr.com/photos/63167988@N00/53890930157/in/datepos...
Additionally, it proves that you can get a lot of modeling for not a lot of cost. This is a $6 swap meet model painted with rustolium primer and craft paints.

I researched why vultures do this wing-spread behavoir and this is what I found;
Spread-wing postures appear to serve for both thermoregulation and drying in Turkey Vultures. These birds maintain their body temperature at a lower level at night than in the daytime. Morning wing-spreading provides a means of absorbing solar energy and passively raising their temperature to the daytime level. Field observations indicate that this behavior is associated with the intensity of sunlight and also occurs more frequently when the birds are wet than when they are dry.
The other reason they do this is because the Turkey vulture eats road kills and other dead animals. Their feet, beaks and feathers are often contaminated with bacteria from the often long-dead animals. Sunning themselves allows the sun’s ultraviolet rays to kill the bacteria.
